I actually tried making this soap and it really works! I didn't add any clay or mica to my soap though, and I use soapncrafts' recipe, and she said to wait 2-3 days before unmolding, because there are so many water in the soap so it takes time to get hard enough to cut.

This is such a fun channel. It's Sunday and I'm here binge watching videos from soap & clay on a tablet 😊 while I'm cooking, cleaning and tidying up home.

I actually did that on accidentally and it really does look transparent. I had no idea how I did it or replicate it, but I figured it out must have a bone disease, so its hard to video and stream all of my soaps.. I. Glad you did this..😍😍

I have a question about the lye solution. You stated in the video a 3.5x water for lye do I calculate in Soapcac a 3.5:1 ratio?

Sorry I couldn’t understand your recipe. Can anybody help me to tell the recipe to be divided into 3 layers plz? Thank u
@denisejones96153 жыл бұрын
This was an awesome video. Thanks for being willing to try different recipes to see if they would work. I am not a soap maker but I wonder if you had melted only the first layer without the clay or mica would it had melted like a regular melt and pour. I was interested because I want to see if you could make a melt and pour soap free from alcohol and coconut oil. And substitute the coconut with like an argan, grapeseed, black seed or jojoba oil. Lol. I want to try and make a beauty bar that won't dry out or clog the pores. 🙂

I'm so late to the game on your videos, but yep, I have questions. What do you think of this recipe used for embeds? Think it would be too hard (sticky or gross?) to remove from a smaller mold? Think it would hold up inside of a regular cp soap if used in an embed or as a layer?
@MrsSoapAndClay2 жыл бұрын
I think embeds would totally work!

How was it when it got harder? Also did it stay clear unwrapped?
@MrsSoapAndClay4 жыл бұрын
It reabsorbed the oils, so it wasn’t sticky anymore, and they’re still clear. Still feel like rubber though. 😂

Ok so I'm off and working on this months soap challenge and of course I have your videos just going and going and going to keep me entertained during my struggle lol. With that said....how was the texture after the cure....did you even keep them for the cure.....I'm so interested. I figured I'd ask before I'm driven to test for myself out of curiosity/obsession.

So...I'm way behind on watching this one! But such an interesting concept. Listening and watching you with the final product had me thinking nope...but maybe? For a kids soap, because they like weird feeling things. So that's a thought.

I made this soap too. It’s still sitting on my shelf, no idea what to do with the slime! 😂

So mine reabsorbed after a few days and aren’t slimy anymore, which I expected to occur because of the high amounts of castor. But they’re still weird. 😂

I think when CP soap goes through gel phase, it could help the right recipe become transparent
@MrsSoapAndClay4 жыл бұрын
This was my thinking, and why I couldn’t resist testing! ❤️
@angelaszul96624 жыл бұрын
@@MrsSoapAndClay I’ve had a couple soaps made with a lot of coconut oil that I CPOP’d that came out looking like they could be clear. They were cloudy, but with some effort, they could probably be pretty clear. I can never resist an experiment either!
@oliveuploadscontent95724 жыл бұрын
That exactly what the owner of the primary recipe explained - specific oils plus gel phase with super high amount of water. I was obsessed with that recipe when that girl posted it on KZbin! Made it and looooooved every bit of how it feels! Nothing like rubber, but super soft and gentle feeling! My son loved it so much too ))))) For the profile: originally that KZbinr used Camellia seed oil as she is in Asia, but here in UK it’s extremely expensive so I substitute it with sweet almond oil and had a great and clearer success 👍✌️
@angelaszul96624 жыл бұрын
@@oliveuploadscontent9572 Looks like I’ll be giving it a try. Also using sweet almond oil. Or possibly cottonseed oil? Both of them are light enough to pull it off. Did you use silk or anything else in your recipe that helped make it feel softer? Or was the recipe alone enough?
