Sad that we missed you! Our plane was based at CNV8 Edenvale (you could see it when on approach to Collingwood) for 18 months while we re-built / restomodded it. I have been. fan of your videos for a few years now. As a Canadian I enjoyed watching you clear Customs at the Sault (YAM), where I worked for a number of years as a Station Manager for Canadian Airlines, now merged with Air Canada. It was great listening to you speak to the Tower Controller at YAM. I have sat up there and had Coffee with the Controller on many sunny afternoons. Then your trip to Collingwood was also cool because it was my backyard growing up. I spent many days skiing there and boating in the Summer. Looking forward to the Toronto Leg and to Billy Bishop Airport. Welcome to Canada 🇨🇦

I had had so many friends reach out with similar stories since that video posted! It sounds like there are many pilots that never make it above ground affect and some even have to dodge trees at a wings length above the ground while looking for safety. I thought my 1000agl was scary. Thankful for a safe outcome and being able to wait till the next morning to try again! I’m never shy to go around on an unstable approach and I’m never shy to pull the rip cord on a mission to reevaluate and play it safe!

@@Highmaintenance_chels Thankfully you made it out of that OK. I have something in common with you. I got my private pilot license at Bowman field back in 1974 at age 17 when they had 3 runways and you could land on the grass on either side of the runways. Unfortunately I had to go to college and I never made it back into the cockpit, but I enjoy videos like yours.

Glad you made it to Canada. Ive lived in Eastern Washington my whole life and we are only 100 miles South of Canada. We get up there alot. My dad was a Cessna/Piper dealer and FBO. We flew alot of charters to Canada in our Piper Navajo. We also did alot or work with a couple Bell Jet Rangers for a logging company. My dad landed Jet Rangers in places in Eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana and places in Canada that I'm sure very few Humans if any have walked. Some stunning scenery. One trip I'll never forget was flying our Grumman Widgeon seaplane into a remote Canadian mountain lake for a couple days of fishing. Alot to see....keep exploring Josh....

I started following your content last summer. I greatly enjoy your content. I’m not a pilot nor am I involved in aviation, but I do have a few friends who are. I’m more of a water guy 😂 but there are some similarities, imo. I am a lifelong Michigander and the eastern UP is my escape, specifically Drummond Island which is east northeast of Mackinac Island. As a matter of fact the road to Drummond is M134 and can be seen along the lakeshore in this video at 8:06. If you’re ever in the eastern UP in August, it’s near certainty I will be on the island. I’d be more than happy to take you for a boat ride!
