This can damage the data only if your USB drive has bad blocks, also known as physical damage. You can check the SMART Monitoring feature in Disk Drill for your drive to ensure that the CHKDSK method won't make your drive unrecognized. Hi. I have a problem. I was moving the files (photographs, screenshots and videos) from my phone to a laptop with a phone charging cable. I have an android. I selected all the folders with those files in them that I wanted to move on my laptop. I marked them all and then clicked cut for all of them and then I clicked paste in the wanted folder on my desktop. Something went wrong, there was an error and I clicked skip for all the files that couldn't be transferred. And there are no files any more. They are not in my phone's gallery or on my laptop. Sir, I would be very thankful if you could help me with getting those files back...

You can check if the data is still accessible after overwriting by scanning your USB drive in Disk Drill. Simply select the drive under the Hardware section and click Search for lost data to run a full scan without interruptions

Hi, my sister moved accidentally moved an important folder from her laptop to my usb drive so that there was enough space on the laptop to download the mediacreation/windows booting tool. Once it ran, it deleted her folder, will this work to recover her folder? If not, is there a way to? … I will try to use the methods u put in this video, but I’m putting this comment out incase it doesn’t work because she needs her folder very soon.

I have voice recordings that were unintentionally deleted permanantly on ios from what ive heard they're also deleted on icloud automatically because of this. Could diskdrill still work?
