Travelers and traders would either take the coast around Anatolia or island hopped from North Africa via Sicily. Considering Greece was along this Anatolian path this was the ideal course to take. Also, this was going to be the path that Cleopatra and Mark Anthony were intending to invade Rome... only Augustus did it first.

@@qayray It might be slightly diffrent in eastern countries, however take a look at this paper iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/4/2/024008/meta It shows that all together trains emit nearly as much CO2 as planes. In some cases even more.

@@skinniedree totally happy to help you out! Don't get a private boat those are a scam. Get on the $15 euro ferry. It'll take you and others to islands you get off on the one you want and it'll come back every hour or so to pick people up. There's some great cliff jumping on the southeast of the main island. The Club is by far the most fun I've had partying in Europe, also Mama's pot tavern and revelin cafe are prime places to eat.
