What loading exercises would not be recommended for a structural scoliosis? In a very fit young athlete of 21 years old.

I have a very mild scoliosis in the area between my shoulders. It never bothers me during daily and sporting activities. The only time it bothers me is if I slouch or sit in a hunched over position (working on a laptop on my lap while sitting on the floor), then when I straighten..oof it is hurting for a little bit 😅 So it did force me to adopt a good posture 😅😝

Is there any evidence that scoliosis is the cause for the pain? I don’t think it’s correct to say Scoliosis is the cause for pain, and if there is no pain I don’t see the point of trying to brace it and changing it

Scoliosis can indeed cause pain. The vertebral column is not properly aligned and therefore could cause compression of certain internal structures. Bracing can be really helpful to prevent further deformity and minimise symptoms.
