My first firearms training was with Clint at Thunder Ranch Texas. It was actually my bachelor party as well and the best man was with me. I have since taken multiple classes both rifle and pistol and I still think I learned the most from Clint and his wonderful staff and wife. It also spoiled the hell out of me in terms of training since I started with the best. If you train then you need to train with Clint.

Son, now that you have reached manhood, it is time for you to take the family axe. This axe has been in our family for 4 hundred years. It was purchased in London before we sailed for America. With this axe, your ancestors have fallen many trees, and built many homes. This is our most treasured possession. Wow dad, it looks brand new! Yes, we keep it looking that way. Two points: Mr. Smith is so wonderful because he never tries to sell you something. He tells you what HE does and he tells you WHY he does it and leaves it up to you to make your own decision. Imagine how great our country could be if our leaders talked as straight as he does. James is unlike 95 percent of the interviewers on paid TV who struggle to inject some comment that they think will make them look smart in the presence of the genius being interviewed. James is one of the few who knows his job is to facilitate the enjoyment of the guest, not to be on a par with the guest or a distraction. Thanks to both of you!

What a legend. I love that he started with a Sharps rifle and James. Have you never seen Jeremiah Johnson? With Robert Redford? Ok, whatever. Then the M14. His boot camp and Vietnam service rifle. I've not said this before, but I'm only a few years younger than Clint and I just barely missed Vietnam when I enlisted in the USAF at age 17. I too shot the 1911 in the military, so I learned to shoot handguns with them. My first 2pistols were 1911s. Those Smith and Wesson. 45s are incredible. I get the idea of the brace of pistols' ideas.
