Translation for anyone whos interested Poi Swing out rhythmically, my feelings lean out beside me, so deceptively. Swing round and down, spin towards me just like a fantail. Swing to the side: swing to and fro zoom down, wriggle, climb up above, swarm around me my whirling emotions, my poi, Yeah! Oh my feelings, draw near, Oh my poi, don't go astray Oh my affections, stick to me Oh my instincts, take care of me Oh my emotions, be entwined around me. Oh poi, our love... Oh poi ...binds. Poi.... my poi, yeah!

Young fledgling to distant shores Which will challenge you And should you ever doubt yourself look deep inside and dance with the joy of a fantail. Bobbing and weaving Shaking and swaying Spinning and twirling Moving and grooving Moonwalking to the heavens Fanning out your tail to the world my one and only sweet. Precious child POI E Stay close to me POI E Never lose your identity POI E Embrace your culture POI E It will see you through POI E Let it always be POI E Our love for each other POI E Which binds us together My Sweet child

Damn.. Every time I hear this song it reminds me of the Maori fellas I played with while living in New Zealand. Those maori guys, even their frightening size and mongrel on the pitch - could always make you laugh and smile off the pitch.

Discovered this song a few weeks ago on RAGE one Saturday morning, Love it, love the culture, found it inspirational and now play it regularly as a motivational song to start the day. In a few years time I hope to spend some time discovering NZ, having been there twice years ago for a short work assignment.

Does anyone know some cool funny Kiwi videos? Maoris having a joke and chilling out? I have met a lot of Maoris here who are comedians and funny guys. I think most of you are! Can someone guide me to some funny material? These days people have too serious! We need a laugh and Kiwis do that to perfection!!!

Indian here. Visited NZ on a 20 day vacation and just fell in love with it. Amazing nature, friendly people and the most chilled out nation I have ever been to. I was just a tourist there and I am sure Aotearoa will have its share of problems. But I am sure that its one of the best countries to live in. Just waiting to visit NZ visit again, do more hikies, drink more wine, eat more Mince Cheese pie and fish and chips.

I spent a night on the town with Dal in Wellington about 1996. Went from club to club with the big man and watched him play live in a bar up Cuba Street. What a wonderful man he was. A lovely, friendly and witty man. He drank red wine, I drank rum. I felt blessed to spend time with him

I heard this song and watched the video as a 12 year old kid in Poland. I never knew what it was or who sang it, but I loved it. Today I was converting my old cassette tapes that have been in storage for the last 20 years into MP3s. Fortunately I have taped the song. But it was not until today that I found out what it was. It took Shazam good few minute and a dozen tries but finally here I am!!!!!!!!!
