But with Aerith Cloud let his guard down. Cloud even kept sneaking off to see Aerith, after dropping her off at her mother's house. Tifa knew this, while Barett scratched his head, as to why Cloud kept running off a lot. XD. It was only Aerith that Cloud felt that he could be himself, and felt the most comfortable being around, (you can argue it was because of Zack's persona, but most likely it was also because of Cloud's own personal interest in Aerith) and actually she is the only one who got him to laugh. It was proven that in FF7 she could also tell the differences that belonged to Cloud and Zack. Watch the Case of series. Cloud did live with them after FF7 but left because of his guilt and because of his disease that he kept a secret from Tifa. After AC he moved back in and they both take in another kid, she at least looks like one, after Dirge of Cerberus and are a growing family. Blood isn't everything, they're still a family and Cloud and Tifa are raising them as parents. Marlene still has Barret but Denzel and the new "kid" don't have anyone but Cloud and Tifa as their parents.

It's Cloud X Tifa. Cloud did have feelings for Aerith in Disk 1, but during the events of Disk 1 Cloud wasn't really himself. Also, Aerith admitted that her boyfriend was Zack, and it's fair to say that since Cloud basically took Zack's place in Disk 1, it would make sense why he would like Aerith at first and put Tifa on the sideline. But, it was Tifa who helped Cloud restore his true character. And since Cloud finally realized who he was, he realized that Tifa was the woman that he truly cared for. It was heavily implied, in the "Under the Highwind" scene, if you have 50 points with Tifa, that they had sex. And after Cloud destroyed Sephiroth, Cloud reached his hand out to Aerith, which may have implied he had feelings for Aerith, but he put those feelings in the past and saw Tifa, his true wife at the end.

I think it's a wolf, or at least a similar canine - the same type of animal that always appeared in advent children in the places of Cloud's guilt ( e.g. Zack's death place), and has come to symbolise Cloud himself. Actually part of that is wrong. There is the Tifa card that makes the high affection version as default, just like that Aerith card which makes her date as default. So that's that. The ultimania mentions the high affection scene MULTIPLE times, it makes no mention of the dates as being anything other than optional. When there is that much repetition, it can logically be inferred that it is the preferred scene. Even more, it was the scene used to represent Cloud and Tifa in a love article.

Cloud actually did fall in love when Tifa once, when they were younger. Then, Cloud left promising Tifa he'd protect her when he became First Class SOLDIER. However, things took a wrong turn and Cloud's memories got mixed up. His personality was like Zack's, so that's why he liked Aerith. Cloud got his memories back pretty soon and went back to caring for Tifa, although no one really knows if he likes her in "that" way.

There IS a scene in the game implying that kind of thing - which you see if you get enough "affection points" with Tifa. Otherwise you see the "just friends" version of the scene (Tifa still seems to want more in that one, but he doesn't give her enough positive attention or something, so she doesn't make a move on him like in the other version). Hence Tifa and Cloud go together, hand in hand, to find happiness - it's all very symbolic :)

He sees a hand outstretched that ends up being Tifa reaching out to him (symbolic that it was her all along) in the living world. Cloud believes that was a message from the Lifestream on how to meet Aerith again. Which would be when he dies he'll become part of the Lifestream, a Heaven analogy, where she is residing. Being that Cloud hasn't seen Aerith in a long time now, finds this information to be significant and tells Tifa. Tifa responds by holding on to him closer, eyes closed, and says "Yeah, let's go meet her." Wherever Cloud goes so will she. Tifa cares about Aerith as well so meeting her isn't a bad thing but it would mean plummeting to their death right then and there. Tifa accepts it. Cloud doesn't. He pulls them up to, relative, safety. Cloud chooses to live with Tifa instead of dying to be with Aerith. This insinuates that they'll end up seeing Aerith only after they can't prevent their death, say from natural causes. Cloud does actively choose to live in that scene implying to be with Tifa as she stated multiple times now that she will be by Cloud's side.

We know it doesn't involve johnny because the word can only be used between two people who love each other. Tifa doesn't love Johnny, only Cloud. Like I said though, SE said that her character is versatile so Tifa doesn't have to be a koibito. She can be like a mother or an ally in battle instead. Optional.

Maybe it is the left hand, or not a ring at all that symbolizes marriage (For instance in FF13 a necklace can symbolize engagement). Cloud and Tifa are shown to have a relationship, they do raise two orphans together, however rather or not it is as big as we think is unknown, but it is possible that it could be someday.

And no, dating Aerith/Yuffie/Barret are all non-canon. All other parts of he FF7 franchise support Tifa being the lover a nd only Tifa gets a special scene, that involves them having sex, because she's the canon love interest. And no, Cloud and Tifa getting together isn't an option. It's canon.

This scene proved to me that Cloud loved Aerith, because he sees her hand in his heart, and then after he saves Tifa he thinks of searching for Aerith. The way Tifa smiles... it seems to me like she's sad, but trying to support Cloud's desire to find Aerith. In Advent Children and Case of Tifa he finally forgives himself and can move on, and love Tifa the way she loves him. I think both couples are beautiful ^_^

It looks pretty bizarre that this scene is about that when he is holding Tifa in his arms and her song is in the background, this will imply that Cloud is right there breaking the heart of the woman that we have seen taking care of him in his worst moment and helped him recover, and the woman who he spend a whole night under highwind. Will also imply that Tifa is inviting herself to a reunion that she has not been called to, which is stupid. Non-canon choices. CAnon choices is doing the Tifa related stuff and reaching 50 affection for the sex scene. All the sequels to FF7 reinforce that Tifa was his lover and that he only felt huge guilt over what happened to Aerith and not once was it ever mentioned that he ever loved Aerith, Yuffie, or Barret romantically while he's living with Tifa and raising kids together with her. By Dirge of Cerberus he has gotten over his guilt and is happy with Tifa.

There's no evidence that Zack passed any memories onto Cloud, merely that Cloud was also present during the Nibelheim event and got his role mixed up with Zack's. And really, Cloud's crush on Tifa(all the boys crushed on her) was from afar. He was just a kid. It's not Aerith's fault if Cloud grows up and feels differently.

Cloud doesn't think he is Zack, he has a persona that is not him made up by memories of Zack and other factors. That is the persona that he introduced to Aerith and that she fell in love with. Plus actually he loves Tifa. Clerith shippers are delusional if they think there's nothing between them. Cloud doesn't say "I think I can meet her there", in the japanese version he says "I think we can meet her there".

Not when I played it. Cloud basically just ignored her presence. And she wasn't originally going to be IN the game, so make for that what you will. Also, I don't see the movie, Advent Children, as canon, and I will never see Dirge of Cerberus as canon, either. The only thing that I see canon of FF7, IS the FF7 original game. Everything else is a spin-off to make more money off of fans. The only spin-off title that seems legit, is Crisis Core and Last Order.

im just gonna put my two cents in i always thought clouds feelings for aeris were because of the stories zack told him about her when he was in his coma state and his subconcious retained the memories and developed feelings for it, as for tifa i think he loved her more because he tried so hard to get her attention when they were kids by acting tough and getting into fights plus tried to join SOLDIER to impress her, and i dont think he'd do all that just to be her friend, thats just my theory

I know he saw her in ACC, healed the Geostigma and helped with the Bahamut fight but after that he returned to Tifa and the children. Both Zack and Aerith agreed that he doesn't belong to the Lifestream yet. And Square *never* even said that this means Cloud is telling Tifa that he loves Aerith. Cloud's smiling after meteorfall, ready to start a new life and that's a *fact.*

Even with the now comparatively limited PS1 graphics of the original game, Cloud has a face to die for :) I'm a girl and even I'm jealous of his flawless complexion and gorgeous hair! And I never say this about fictional characters - I wish he'd magically become real one day so I can call him up and ask him what the secret to his good looks is...and then of course, ask him out (even if his schedule's already taken up by going out on dates with Tifa, Aerith, Yuffie and Barret) LOL I love Cloud XD
