Now this side story may seem a little irrelevant, but I believe there's some very important information to be gathered here, specifically from Anzu's outfit. Because in chapter 3, Anzu mentions that she made her outfit herself, but as we've seen here, that's not true. It's possible she might have lied, but given her personality, it's hard to believe she could tell such a bold faced lie, not to mention how that would be a strange thing to lie about. Another possibility (that I choose to believe) is that Asu-Naro removed her memories of her master completely when they made her doll version, and made her think she made her outfit herself. I believe they did this because having her remember him would have caused trouble whenever she was introduced to the other dummies. It's been theorized that the clown master is a relative of fake hinako, or maybe even her older brother, and so if we are to assume that Anzu held contact with him even after the side story ended, it could be possible she learned his last name or got to know of or even meet fake hinako. This of course would cause problems for Asu-Naro, as when the dummies all met each other for the first time, Anzu would recognize fake hinako and would be able to tell that she's a human from the start. To add to this, being apart of Asu-Naro seems to run in the family, as I wouldn't imagine a middle schooler like fake hinako would get in all on her own. So it's a big possibility that the clown master is also a part of Asu-Naro and targeted specifically Anzu to come help out with his trick, and that the whole ordeal with getting Anzu to become a clown was a scheme to get her to eventually sign the consent form, which would explain the outfit he gave her that was exactly her size, and wouldn't tell her how he got it.

ohh really interesting theory! I always assumed that was just either a mistake or just retconned but tbh it is very likely that Asunaro messed up with her memories just like the rest of the participants! Maybe this can help us guess what was her wish..?

Really fun video! Even tho this is one of my fav mini episodes (mostly bc I just love Anzu and im just being biased) yeah I would have loved more Anzu lore instead of her Master's. I kinda want to point out somth that I though it was interesting regarding 7:38 is that in chapter 3, all the top 6 candidates in the four papers, excluding qtaro, have like a room related to them in the facility. Sara has her classroom, Kurumada has his boxing ring, Keiji has his old police station, Hayasaka has his office and now Anzu has the plaza where she became a clown, and it's more interesting how all these rooms are like their "work" locations, somth that Asunaro found important enough to put of the % papers! I think each of them have their rooms because they were the most likely to make it up to that point in the game since they have the highest % of winning the death game! Idk if any of this means anything but I found it interesting :D

Anzu is the only character I used a guide to save. I was more upset about losing her than Qtaro, to be honest.

So at 7:29, you mention how this area looks like a recolor of that area where we cornered Midori in part 3 1a. I actually have a theory for this. If I remember correctly, I believe Midori said that the 4th and 5th floors resembled places from our casts' memories.(Kurumada's boxing ring for example) Perhaps that area was based off of where Anzu met her master.

I love your content so much! When I played through this episode, I experienced many of the same thoughts you did, except for the obvious potential relevance to Hinako. That didn't even cross my mind until seeing that character again here. The ending, to me, alludes to the "troupe" being, without a doubt imo, at least related to Asunaro. The emphasis on him being "busy" from now on came across as a sort of, idk, threat?? It's just so weird. I definitely wish we had gotten to see more of Anzu herself; her win rate percentage being so high is so intriguing to me. I was hoping we would get some clarity on that aspect, but honestly it left me more confused LMAO. Your vids are my favourite, love your style of analysis and editing! Take care!

despite the fact that i like her mini episode (probably due to anzu being my fav character), i completely agree that her mini episode shouldve focused more on her rather than ryuu💔💔like i wish it wouldve explained how she signed the asunaro form or any connections she might have to them etc😞😞 would love to hear ur thoughts abt the mini episodes in the future!!

Yes! A video of your personal thoughts on each mini episode would be amazing! I’d love to hear a more in depth analysis and can’t wait to see your playthrough on Alice’s😊 I have a crack theory on the clown master being a relative of Hinako somehow, despite there being no evidence except the hair color😅 I really believe there must be a connection and importance Anzu’s mini episode has on the main story, Nankidai never leaves the smallest details unused to it’s “fullest potential” so to speak. Great video! I enjoy all of them since your Memorandum theory and I hope you’ll make the video on your thoughts after reading the comments! (=^x^=)

I hoped the episode would answer how anzu singed the asunaro vow when i first played it also I'm hoping we get the answer next part about what everyone did with the asunaro vow and why they singed it also i think one of the differnce between participant and canidate isthat the canidate's singed the vow except sara wich could be explained by the leader picking her as his or her representative so that she wouldn't need to sing it so she could skip that step from the qaulifications of a canidate.
