Kid Rock is great in this episode. I love when Bill says, "It's like a relationship - you know - or a marriage..." and Kid Rock interrupts him and says, "Two things you know nothing about, educate me Bill...". That was priceless!!!

so we've ONLY concluded neither one can give advice about marriage then. mmmmmkay. actually you don't have to be married to give advice. Priests are always giving marriage advice. It's like telling a doctor he cannot give advice about cancer because he never had it. One can study and observe. But anyway have a great 4th. I'll be jamming to some Kid Rock too.

@@BillieJolene1except Bill hasn't studied how to be IN a relationship or a marriage, only how to NOT be in either. A priest on the other hand, studies Scripture, which includes marriage, parenthood & neighbors. Anyone seeking a priest's advice would also presumably believe in Scripture so one would turn to a priest for a higher degree of understanding of what Scripture says. I've personally never asked for marriage/relationship advice from someone who hates both & not only actively seeks to avoid them, but also has not experienced them. I do, however, listen up when someone who's had unsuccessful marriage(s) or 1 truly great 1, speaks up on how to ruin or sustain one. 😁

Bob Richie is 100% genuine and has integrity. True integrity is rare in anyone let alone a celebrity. That’s why it’s so funny when I read or hear people claim he’s a racist or he’s uneducated. It’s so far from the truth! My favorite is when someone says he’s not talented 😂 I’ve seen him live many many times. He’s amazing in concert! I was front row center in the pit during the Laughlin show he mentioned. He writes or co-writes a majority of his music and lyrics and plays every instrument on the stage, including the saxophone! First time I saw him, I wasn’t a fan. But I left that concert sold, in awe and with absolute respect for him

People who say that he's a racist are the judgemental ones. There is so much hypocrisy in the world. Also the context behind what defines a racist has been completely erased and overlooked nowadays. Kid Rock is a very sincere guy and a refreshing break from the majority of today's phony celebrities.

I had the pleasure to work security twice for Kid Rock & both times I was treated with the upmost respect by both his crew but the fans too. I got to personally guard one of my original music heroes, Rev Run of Run DMC. He put on a couple hour show that had a variety of rock, rap, country & blues. People can disagree with his viewpoints but he wasn’t afraid to go out back & sign autographs while his supporting act turned people away & threatened to beat their fans up. He’s got my respect.

Your version of Kid Rock is the total opposite of the one I met. I did street team work on a few Warped Tours including the one he was on. EVERYBODY hated him. He was a massive a-hole to everyone on that tour. His security were jerks. This was a tour filled with punk bands. Everyone mingled, hung out. Like a big summer camp. Not Kid Rock. He acted like a spoiled diva. Stayed on his bus most of the time. He refused to acknowledge the other artists, was often followed by beefy security who wouldn't let you get near him (like he ALWAYS does because he is not a badass whatsoever - go look up his arrest where he had his security beat up people as he watched). The ONLY people he seemed to acknowledge were girls, a bunch being underage (which he has rapped about being into). No autograph signing. Remained mostly on the bus, played his set and then left. No other artist on that tour was like that except for the singer of the band The Used. Andrew WK also played one year. The guy hung out with everyone. Even went to 7-11 with some fans. He was the last to leave. Hung out with a group of us for hrs after the show. That guy got my respect. You also mention his viewpoints....Kid Rock writes songs condemning others for having different opinions. Go look at 99% of his other interviews. Interviews with right wingers.

That phrase was probably the most heard phrase of my childhood. These days they will argue that words are hurtful which may be true but the spirit of that phrase and why it was taught to kids is the important thing. Basically don't give up and fall apart over name-calling. Telling kids names have no effect on you is better than telling them to be a victim that needs therapy.
@jacobkubacki27192 жыл бұрын
Absolutely right! Guess what though? We’re starting to get to that age where we get to be in charge, Maybe Gen X can straighten this crazy shit out? I can dream can’t I? We used to make fun of each other’s stereotypes & then grade them to how original and funny it was. Black culture was coming into fashion & they didn’t all have to be gangsters to be great. Don’t get me wrong, I loved that original genre. It was unique & new. I remember getting a bootleg of Straight Out of Compton & getting a thrill to hear a bunch of swear words. It wasn’t normal back then & was meant to piss off the squares. Same with all the great rock & metal from the late 60’s to the 90’s that were all about exposing corruption and giving the finger to the establishment. We weren’t perfect by far but we got along for the most part.

I had to say that to myself over a million times in my childhood because I was called names everyday. We didn’t have “safe places”. We learned to suck it up and grow a thicker skin. We didn’t go to therapy because people were mean. We learned people are mean, period. It is only our parents and siblings that care about our feelings. That’s why I like dogs more then people. 😂

I wish the younger generations could have conversations like this. When I 1st watched this, it gave me hope, because if these two (from different perspectives) can have a civil conversation together, then why can't we all. Problem is, they come from a time when people used to do this naturally and habitually, but they come from a different time and their age affords them the maturity to carry themselves this way. The younger generations weren't exposed to this type of dialect and behavior. Common interactions since around 2008/9 has been online, with complete anonymity and w/o consequences or instant reply/reaction. I really hope people can see this conversation for what it is and allow them to regard this as a possible norm

Well, people of this generation all shared the same culture more or less. They may have had different politics but they all wanted the same thing, and disagreed on how to get there. Today it's more like, we have people who love their country, and those who hate their country and think it should be torn down and rebuilt into something new. Not to mention all the little things -- but the main thing is that the political divide now isn't "those people disagree" its "those people are evil." They don't even want to have civil conversations with each other because they are mortal enemies with different goals on different sides of a war and they don't even speak the same language. We can't even agree on basic shit like what "woman" means. You can't have a conversation that way.

This kind of dialect and behavior is still commonplace I think in the real world with real people. It’s just the online social media world where people can get nasty, and you just eventually learn one way or another that online arguments are just not worth it. There’s too many timesinks that are unproductive and needlessly abrasive for all involved. Just recognize when to ignore something and let it go.

You might debate- maybe even a little heated here and there, but you'd be jamming to the same song, taking a shot together 10 minutes later. Politics weren't so damn tribal.
