Money may seemed like the main issue. But the truth is the more competitive, stressful and realistic the society is the less love people feel around them since young. That leads to people having no fundamental emotions or needs to procreate just for their partners when nothing seems to be worthy and with their own natural instinct to self-protect first from volatile environment and partnerships.

Why can't people not just be happy for me??! Why do I have to fulfill a role of how life MUST BE BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT GETTING PREGNANT? They need more lower income and middle income workers. Why on earth would anyone with a modicum of rationality choose to create a kid to become another robot that slogs of at work? The rich can go make more kids and boss their own children around in their offices. A declining population is not a problem for the average citizen. It's a problem for the rich. The average citizen is already used to a low standard of living. It's the rich that will have to come to grasps with a lower standard of living because of population decline.

@kerbodynamicx472

From my own perspective, I very well understand why people prefer to have less kids these days 1. Making a kid needs 2 people, and finding a partner and maintaining the relationship may represent a significant investment of time and energy. 2. Price of housing and cost of living might encourage both the husband and the wife to have a job, which again, costs time and energy. People are not in the mood for reproduction unless they have plenty of energy and few things to be stressed about. 3. The cost and time of raising a kid are significant, and could mean a hundred thousand dollars over the span of 18 years. Until then, who knows? We know that automation is on the rise, and in the future we won't need that many jobs anyways. How can you make people worry about a future lacking workforce when its harder and harder to find a decent job?

The point is, not only women, everybody can and should raise a child well (both parents men or women), Soo well to the point that child would want to take care of their parents financially and physically when they reach old age. Instead of wondering why is the birth rate so low, why not have a formal education to actually teach the opposite sex to understand men and women more early on in life? It's not as if men and women naturally understands each other in many cases. Besides in many cases, some people are more sociable...some are less sociable...then it's not a case of just educating someone on the benefits of socializing, but also "training" the less sociable to be more sociable. One doesn't become automatically sociable by co-mingling with someone sociable. All these things don't happen automatically and active efforts need to be made early on in adolescence, not wait till everyone is grown up, busy with work and no mood to be bothered about BGR. For adults, it doesn't matter how much benefits govt provides for marrying someone and having kids. The real problem is...how much socializing and how wide of a social circle does one need to expand till they find the "right" person if one is still single...and secondly where to find the energy, time and mood for dates? Don't talk about the few who have done it. These outliers are few and far in between and shouldn't be used as a generalization.

IVF and Donor eggs/freezing are billion dollar industries just like the pill pushing pharma industry. Find a supportive doctor who believes in your ability to trust your body's innate wisdom and getting pregnant naturally. Just like how they push drugs on diabetics when the root causes are never addressed ( Surprise! Age is only a small part of it). 1. Eat healthy, stop exposure to PFAs, glyphosate found in some common food grains such as wheat, corn, barley, spelt etc (which the govt does not want to ban and does not want the public to know to feed the overtly consumerist and capitalistic society), pesticides in food, fluoride, water contaminants, non stick cookware, artificial perfumes, fragrances, detergents etc. Eat healthy, clean, organic. 2. Regulate your adrenals VERY important, go to a somatic therapist like right away to SLOW DOWN. You likely have dysregulation in your body even if you don't think you do. You are likely in a low flight or fight mode always without knowing it. If you have have had a difficult childhood or complex PTSD, address that with an IFS Therapist simultaneously. Get out of a bad relationship if you are in one. 3. Understand that your gut need to not be inflamed, bloated (a little is ok) and should be clean. FOCUS ON THE GUT. 3. AYURVEDIC diet per your body type. detox liver gall bladder, kidney, NO SUGAR, GLUTEN OR DAIRY.. (look up how they treat cows at factory farms and A1 milk.. (You really think you can improve your own fertility by having the milk of traumatised mother cows with their calfs taken away and slaughtered?) Respect animals and nature, develop MOTHER LIKE QUALITIES first. Eat nutrient rich food, not too much and chew really well. RAISE YOUR BLOOD COUNT. Proof will be more energy, better hair skin and nails.Enjoy your food. and you have your best chance. 4. Do yoga, pranayama, light nature walks etc as suggested for your ayurvedic body type, doshas etc. Everyone is different. 5. Stop listening to negative nancys and old paradigm people. Ignore and walk away. 6. Lastly, tune into your spirituality whatever that looks like for you! TRUST WHAT YOU ALREADY KNOW. All this can be addressed in a meaningful way in 3-6 months if you get started right away and commit to it. All the best. FUN FACT: ONLY FEMALE HUMANS HAVE MENOPAUSE, OTHERS MAMMALS DON't. Think about it for a moment. Why is that? Men prefer younger women so it's an evolutionary trait but not natural. That is why till date, there's no definitive proof that women don't produce new eggs after menopause! In fact, newer research suggests that egg-producing capacity merely gets turned off due to a drop in hormones supplied to the surrounding cells not the actual egg cells ( faster due to modern day lifestyle and there are natural ways to raise those hormone levels think about it). I can't post links here so please google it. Of course, they don't invest as much into women's reproductive and health research due to deep-seated patriarchy and social conditioning so we won't have the proof for quite a while yet Now in the olden times, those women were under nourished so the underlying issue was different though the result was the same, no birth after mid-40s but quite a lot of healthy ones did have babies till mid-50s, it was not very common again due to malnourishment and giving birth many times (losing a lot of blood contributes to fertiility shutting off!) but not shocking as it is now. don't confuse between the two. When women start giving birth later and later, they will have to come around. Look up IVG and the future of reproductive tech. Don't listen to the naysayers with their half baked information.

It's really strange to open a documentary about infertility with "falling birth rates", and what that means for society. They're not the same. The latter is largely driven by wealthier societies choosing to have fewer children, more people wanting to be "childfree", and others simply being unable to find anyone. They don't have fertility issues. Infertility is when you're actively trying to have children, and can't, and this is what the film then moves onto: things like IVF. Those are personal stories of people who, for whatever reason (infertile people have always existed but the number sure is rising, because of environmental toxins and modern diets), cannot conceive no matter how they try.

That's so weird, immature eggs can be frozen. That's stillable when you unfreeze to do more work like to make them you know, able to be viable like all the rest of them or mature and then they can be used just like you know, women have gotten children off of immature eggs before. So that's weird, they're just really. You can see the strictness. And how they just don't. You can see like they are just so wrapped up in work and cooperate. And they're just so wrapped up in business that they can't see around anything. Because immature eggs are available and many women have been able to use those to successfully have. Kids like that's so stupid.

The family model has changed, women are expected to work and pay tax to government but children suffer because of this. Also women are more demanding of men due to popular culture influences. Most women think they have time but they dont. You are considered at hight risk once you reach 30. Loafs of miscarriages (speaking from perso al experience). Finances can be an issue, but lets get real, people had children during war time without issue. Food has changed, water has changed, more sugar, sedentary lifestyle etc.
@redcheekgirl3434

The only thing of significance that's changed since wartime and now is birth control. Now we have many different kinds of family planning and people take advantage of it. Sex has a lower risk now than ever before, so people are able to delay having kids until they have their life together (more money, bigger house, better spouse etc). In the past people would have sex and accidentally get pregnant, and would just say "well guess we're raising a family now." People didn't have a choice back then (unless they were totally celibate), which is why the birthrate was so high.

Maybe people should be worth staying married to if they expect to stay married. Anybody who thinks divorce is the issue, is probably insufferable to be around. You wouldn't be so concerned about it if you are worth being married to. We get to choose our family. No reason to support an AH who won't do the same. You can't reconcile differences if the problem is someones disregard for you. Have some more self respect. We only get one life. No reason to spend it miserable with someone who isn't worth your time or effort. The issue is you don't really know what real love feels like until you've felt it. People think they have love and they dont really. For instance, I had a lot of trouble with men who seemed to think sex was all about them who did not think my orgasm was an expected part of sex. It seemed like every guy was like that (because most are) so I figured it was all there was. I almost married one of them but broke it off because he decided to show his cards and quit his long time job right after we got engaged then continued to be unable to keep a job. He could get them but always got fired or quit before he could. People who love you will consider your wellbeing before putting you in a shitty financial situation. People who love you will care if you orgasm. I met one man who made me feel amazing and it changed my life. Now I accept nothing less. Ive heard way too many women who recognize that it sucks after they are married. Then the guys complain about a dead bedroom when they dont make themselves a desirable person to have sex with. Maybe women would want more sex if more attention was paid to us when we have it. If its bad or mediocre with a guy who doesn't help around the house, whats the point? We'd be better off alone than caring for a grown man baby who isn't even good for sex. Its also why I advise people not to wait until marriage to have sex. You can tell a lot about how selfish a person is and how good of a partner they are by how they view sex. Some men are willing to learn but ive seen far more who say they will and fall back into their same bs. I know they can learn because my current partner is. Hes generally thoughtful but was stunted in this area like many men. Hes the only one who actively worked to change his behavior. Now things are amazing. Everyone deserves to have that. Too many men are not stepping up to the plate.

My pediatrician is on her 11th baby. Sad to think about a society empty of children … that’s where many developed nations are heading.
