I've just begun learning about value investing, and I've found that many good stocks are undervalued despite their intrinsic value. If you had $200,000 to create a strong investment portfolio, which stocks would you choose for better returns?
@CameronDonna-w7n2 күн бұрын
I think a good investment portfolio should have three basic things: ETFs for diversification, dividend stocks for cash flow, and leading tech stocks. With your budget, it's a good idea to talk to a fiduciary financial advisor for expert advice.

I agree with you. As an early investor in NVDA, AVGO, ANSS, and LRCX, my financial advisor's advice was incredibly helpful. Over the past 7 years, she has helped me find stocks that did 10x multiple times. With her help, I've grown my portfolio to over a million dollars.

I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. One way to minimize the anxiety out of stock market investing, is to make sure you keep a large cash cushion. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.

Chinese agricultural machinery companies have gutted CNH and Deere's overseas sales. CNH can't compete. Their equipment cost 2-3x more than the chinese equipment. This also partly explains the drop in food prices. Farmers in Argentina, Brazil, with their lower cost labor and now lower cost equipment, can now underprice the US farmers. Next shoe to drop is farmland prices which should drop in half over the next few years.
@bananajoe6864 күн бұрын

Any simple rationale why farmland gets cheaper the next 5 yrs? Thanks
@stephenxbullock4 күн бұрын
@@artrahman169Farmland value is determined by the income farmers can generate on it. As they lose business to farmers in other countries, their income declines and they cannot pay as much for land. This will be partly offset by the declining value of the dollar.
@artrahman1693 күн бұрын
@@stephenxbullock Thanks for the understandable rationale. I was aware of another force pushing land prices the other way ( up ) - we are in the end days/years of the current fiat currency regime ushered in by nixons severing the US$ from gold, the last 50+ years of debt bingeing by govs globally is due for a reset, and the ultra rich whose families have preserved wealth through multiple such cycles have already been accumulating hard assets, arable land being a prominent feature in their portfolios.Central banks, who know the value of the currencies they lend into existence (zero), dont settle with each other in USD etc they use gold, and a large number of the world's central banks have been buying up large amounts of gold, causing its price to keep hitting all time highs in all fiat currencies multiple times this year to date. I suspect these forces will overwhelm the food based supply-demand forces in a medium/long term, but in shorter timeframes there is likely to be one heck of a rollercoaster in markets, i just dont know the best way to buckle up for the ride.
