Glad they said it. This team could be worse in 2025 and I fully expect them to be. There are way to many holes. You might not see Diggs or Overshown at all in 2025 with the injuries they sustained. You have holes at safety, at linebacker, and at corner now. Then you have offense. Dallas needs another receiver, Ferguson regressed mightily, need a running back even though Dowdle played well, and the oline has issues as Martin needs replacing. This is not a one year fix since they hate free agency. This a 2-3 year fix and by the time they think they have fixed it, Dak prescott 3rd contract is near ending and they he's going to be 34 or 35 years old.

I'm not saying Jerry don't present any issues but another reason why cowboy fans not optimist can it's because we expect coaching failure. We just may not want to admit it. The reason why we need a second receiver cuz Mike couldn't figure out how to use Cooks, and waited to the end of the season to figure out Turpin and Tolbert. Can't believe in the running game cuz we seen Mike struggle with it for so long. We're afraid about the offensive line cuz Jason Garrett used to lose all the time with one lineman got hurt. We have to bank on Dak, because our coaches always run a vanilla, obsolete offense. If we have to beg this new coach to run motion. I'm going to lose my mind. We can talk about how bad Jerry is but has any coach had to bring in the player like Kyrie Irving or Josh Hamilton or start a 19-year-old at center? Well what about the Mavericks me too scandal that they had they kept winning. You could be mad at Jerry all you want to but we got to start raising to bar our coaches.

I don’t fully understand the infatuation with Deion as a coach. As a person, he’s certainly interesting. Full of personality. But he didn’t really accomplish as much as you’d want when finding the best difference maker coach. Jerry can see the marketing dollars roll in 💵💸. Ticket sales will spike. Netflix specials. Advertising deals. The headlines: Coach Prime , savior of the Cowboys; Prime is back in big D! It's Prime Time, baby! Taking 2 bad college teams and turning them into mediocre teams is not a good resume to me.

People should have known that the 2024 Cowboys weren't going to be any good. Ownership should never have extended Prescott. Ownership should have had a fire sale of older players in order to get draft picks for the future. If anyone had been willing to give us anything for Prescott, we should have traded him. The problem is that the 2025 doesn't have any good quarterbacks at the places where we can pick, but we still needed to dump Prescott. We could have used those picks to rebuild or even traded most of them for 2026 picks. We could then draft a quarterback in 2026 and plan on trying to win the Super Bowl after the 2028 or 2029 season. I guess anything can happen, but I don't see anything good happening. Jerry's trying to make things work for Prescott is going to leave the Cowboys as a mediocre team for the next four years.
