For Story #1: At my first job which was at a Theme Park I was well liked by most of my coworkers with the exception of one coworkers who was promoted to Shift Lead but I digress anyways I went on Vacation one time and one of my female coworkers had to deal with all of my my tasks for the time I was on my vacation and joked with me when I got back that she had a hard time dealing with with all the stuff I dealt with on a regular basis. Again I was well liked by most of my coworkers with the exception of the one who was eventually promoted to shift lead.

Last one is not a jerk. He’s right, it’s first come first served. Just because he’s not actively going out of his way for a kid who can’t handle disappointment doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy. Plus the woman makes a lot of assumptions about him being selfish and greedy for “buying something he doesn’t need”…it’s a cake, you don’t need it either.shes assuming he isn’t buying it for someone either. Imagine if he’d be buying it for his own kids birthday or something, she doesn’t know, she just wants to make him out to be the bad guy to get what she wants when he’s done nothing wrong

Plus, it is a good lesson for the child and the mom since she rather put down someone rather, then let her child learn. That you don't always get what you want. Cause without this lesson, they could grow to become a spoiled brat and an adult that expect everything to be given to them.

Story 1: Dave has absolutely no one to blame here but himself... for being a jerk to the OP, a jerk to other post workers and being total crap at his job. At union jobs like this, its only a matter of time before someone comes along that is better then you in some sort of way and you get looked at or audited and they find out things like Dave's laziness and the affair he seemed to be having here. Too bad the OP didn't get a full-time job after they were done college and after Dave was fired...they deserved a full-time job there. Story 2: Not the jerk at all... and OP should not have dropped the charges. The kids knew exactly what they were doing and didn't care... and neither did the parents. You should've kept the charges of trespassing, destruction of property and possibly harassment by the parents. You wont teach them anything by calling the cops and a simple night in jail... teach them by dragging them through court. Story 3: Good grief. Some people are clueless with technology and some people are stupid with technology. This lady was both. Story 4: Yeah... this is exactly why you never EVER take a sore stomach for granted. Story 5: OP is not a jerk at all... and if the OP had given away the cake, you can almost be certain that the pregnant wife would've had an absolute meltdown over it. Pregnancy cravings can be absolutely brutal. The OP did the right thing here and the entitled mother and daughter should;ve gotten there earlier rather then pestering the OP about it. OP has no reason to feel guilty.
