Would be super helpful to make a basics series but instead of just a tutorial, like, Why You're Not Getting Your Backward Crossovers Right, and you and your students demonstrate some common mistakes in that basic move that beginners wouldn't easily realize they're doing wrong. Because I think there are plenty of tutorials on how to do this-and-that basic, but really what they need is to know what to look out for. The feeling is always like, why am I getting this wrong. Plus points if you end up having like a third skater who's just in her alphas or betas and she learns along with the rest of us. Ooh, and maybe your viewers can send you in their progress videos and you can include them in the next video for like a community building aspect.

I can do them all day long of the ice, because I can push off the ball of my foot. I will try some of your techniques! I landed my axel yesterday after not having jumped it for 8 years and I basically needed to start from scratch. The timing just wasn't there, but once I landed it and got the feel for it again on the ice. I think I've jumped it about 20 times yesterday. The first five or so I had to put my hand down because I was not at all prepared for that landing. It's a little like cliff diving I suppose. You just go for it.

Peanut and Oreo Basset I hated learning my loop jump, I spent 6 months in mental agony because I just couldn’t ‘do it’. And then one day , as if like pure magic it just clicked. Within 2 weeks I was doing them from crossovers and with speed and now I’m working on air position and distance + height. Honestly still shocked I have the jump! My point is, don’t lose hope. You never know what’s around the corner and what’s gonna happen next time you train!
