Thank you SERIOUSLY SO MUCH for trying to avoid 'left/right' designations! I can reverse your video with an app so that I see you jump 'lefty', but I have a hard time listening when tutorials state 'left/right' while I'm reversed. It seems like a small thing, but it really makes a big difference for me!!! Thanks for helping out this 'lefty' skater!!!
@CoachMichelleHong4 жыл бұрын
V2climb aww I’m so glad that it helped you! That is so awesome. What app do you use to mirror the video? I have a few lefty skaters so I definitely understand your frustration 💗
@V2climb4 жыл бұрын
@@CoachMichelleHong I know we are the minority, but I was like, "YESSS !!" haha! Ok, so this app only works in KZbin and when using Google Chrome (so it's a Chrome app.....they will figure it out; I know nothing and it was pretty easy to do) It's called 'Flip a Video for KZbin'. What it will do is add a grey arrow to your toolbar; it'll be located along the top right of the screen anytime you're watching KZbin using Chrome. You just click that arrow at anytime, and the video will reverse. Now the arrow will be red so that you know you have it 'on'. All the page comments and stuff besides the actual video screen are still normal. If there is any title or anything IN the video, though, it will look backwards- no surprise there, but something to keep in mind if you add titles or descriptions onto your videos. Your lefties won't be able to really read them. I hope that helps!

It's the foundation for double axel, you need to work on the entrance on the ice. There are different entrances for each skater's double axel. Some squid and some have a clean edge take off depending on their coach's discretion.

Hi Michelle I’m a big fan!! I’m here trying to learn proper technique because about a month and a half back I started doing off ice axels a lot and within the first few days I strained my back and as I did more it started hurting a lot. I’ve been going to physical therapy and it was finally starting to get better and I’ve been getting back to exercising daily this past week. I still have not gone back to the rink, but today I went through this whole video and was fine in the beginning , but towards the end it started to hurt again and it’s getting really frustrating. My doctor says it probably had something to do with the takeoff, I was planning on asking my coach if we could do some off ice lessons but I don’t know what else to do. Please let me know if you have any tips, recommendations, or if you know what’s going wrong. Have you seen this in skaters before??
