Good to see an old Coats put back into service. 40+ years ago started with a 20/20 at a Sohio station. Then they brought in a 40/40A. WOW, what a difference! I haven't paid anyone to mount or repair a tire since the Sohio days. Bought my own 40/40A a lot years ago and it's paid for itself many times over.

Memories... Back when I was working a High School job at a tire shop I learned to mix some Wisk detergent with water. Cheap tire slick-em. I had a Coats 20-20 for years that never looked as pretty as yours.. My friend and I went to a Walmart equipment auction in Reno and I got away with a JB rim clamp machine cheap. My buddy escaped with a digital balancer. I gave my old 20-20 to another friend who had been bustin' tires on a 10-10 manual. Thanks for sharin'.

" Gas, Reg," ....and off I'd run to fill the car, check the oil and tires and clean the windshield, and oh yes,...say "Thank You' to the customer. Noah, you're a lucky guy! Trust me too, you'll look back on this as I do now , with fond memories.

Pushing memories buttons again. On my first Coat's, you could break most tires from the top, except for some GM (Chevrolet?) so-called deep dish wheel, which had to be broken down from the reverse side first. My late father had mules to pull the plow. He looked at the hind end of the pair for a number of hours over in Wilson County. Thanks again. Tarheeler's son.

Great job looks and works great! Brings back a ton of memory’s when I was Noah’s age I worked at a junk yard and my first summer was spent dismounting a mountain of tires/rims and I mean mountain. After they where all dismounted I hand stacked them in tracktor trailers. I used that same exact coats 3030. 20 years later and I could still probably dismount a tire on one with my eyes closed. Had a close call with that machine to thou. No one warned me not to dismount tires with split rings. It only took half a ring flying within a inch of my ear to teach me not to do that again! Great video keep up the good work.

Man that brings back memories of my family's Western Auto. We bought a new coats 30-30 in 1970 and mounted thousands of tires over the next 20 years. It seemed very powerful compaired to the 10-10 we had before. My buddy and I, when we were cookin', could mount and computer balance a set of 4 tires in 16 minutes out the door (intuitively torqued of course via Chicago Pneumatic.) I think that finger that catches a lug hole had a light spring that held it in close to the center shaft making it easy to line up when you droped a rim into place.

I had one of those old machines an they are the cat's meow when it's winter and time for the studs to hit the highway. Lucky to find the rim lock that you screw down with it as they just don't make em anymore and that is a thread of its own. Sure you can go fancy but like you said "paint don't pull the plow". Now find a bubble balancer and your set for life, I saved the old wheel weights and reused them, tossed the ones that I couldn't make work for fishing lead. A hundred bucks is a flat steal for that machine, it will work faster as time goes by as they just need to be used and it will get its work out there. Will save you so much grief over time. Man o Man am I happy for you. I thought that you had something that you worked with on that slab. I bolted a steel pole on mine and jury rigged a hill billy arm to make pressure one one side at a time and had to flip the tire over each way and that proved worry some. Like I said Jonathan, I am really happy for you'ns for sure
