When I used to sell phones I always would just ask them about their day to day life, what do they do for work, what are they going to use their phone for, and what do they want in a phone. Then I'd find something that met all their needs and they were always satisfied. Because of that they would recommend me to friends, coworkers, and family thus driving my sales even higher. Eventually I had people calling to schedule appointments because they knew I'd take care of them. If you focus on the customer and not the profit so much the profit will naturally come. Before I left the company I was getting bonus checks in the upper $3000 in just the phone sales commission.

Watched this one again after a year and still it resonates so well. He's nailed it with the emotional component. I have read a lot about how many (if not most) of us who have been in, and love doing sales have a higher level of empathy. He nails it 100% when he's talking about transferring certainty. Really, you're building your case as the most informed, easiest to work with, and best aligning solution for solving their needs...the prospect needs to have an epiphany!!!! That one quote: "The problem with most people in life and the reason why most of them don't achieve greatness is not that they set their goals to high and miss them, it's that they set them to low and hit them" GENIUS!!!

As a sales manager myself, I talk about being certain, being the expert, and bringing value to your customer. Think in terms of differentiation and positive impact. When you make some one feel good about what they are doing, you will get the most back. How are you different than the competition? Up your level of professionalism, and others will notice. Ask the questions, and be methodical. Stay humble and pleasantly consistent. Think outside the box, and stay in front of your customers. In order to win in sales, you must first decide to do it.

I work in a niche sales market and it’s incredibly satisfying to get a good company hooked up with a great supplier, watch both sides grow, watch the people I know rise, due to the fact they get the job done, not because they are destroying the competition. I tried greasy, fast-talking sales before and it was disgusting, but not all sales are bad. I understand exactly what you mean, though.

@StatingTheObviouslyObvious
@StatingTheObviouslyObvious 3 жыл бұрын
I love selling pessimists. If you’re negative about things, then you’re probably negative about what you’re currently using and the grass is always greener on the other side. What I can offer will give you the illusion that I’m providing the potential to solve your negativity. This is what Jordan is talking about. It’s certainty. Every buyer is eagerly looking for it and when you learn how to sell it, you sell anything.

The transfer for making bigger businesses is by learning more about the possibility for sales that could have a major effect that we could the inner world and outer world better the basis is about seeing something that we could relate, Also the method tells us about how to sell at anytime and give them their opportunity, Also let’s make Stratton the most popular business that we could experience in Wall Street.

I just started a clothing brand, people seem to be interested to buying my clothes until they ask the price and then run when they hear it, saying it's too much. Is it me who lacks knowledge of marketing and making people buy or is it really the price.?

It's not your prices, as gucci sell regular jumpers with their logo on for $800+. The problem is your target market (ideal customer/avater) in relation to the clothing you're selling. Is the value ultimately there for the customer at hand, that actually make the prices seem reasonable and very realistic to them. We run a women's fashion brand and sell our clothing around $60-$150 but we don't position ourselves as a luxury fashion brand but as a brand that offer a unique proposition to the customer that other fashion brands don't. Which then brings value that justifies the price point in the customers eyes. But note: we target 24+ year olds, and tier 1 country customers, as they (by capita) have the income to buy. So these points are important. 1. Does your product/offer solve a pain point? 2. Is your product in demand/can your business grow? 3. Are your ideal customers easy to find? 4. Can the customer afford/do they have more than enough money to buy? The above all should be answered yes, for you to grow effectively. If one is a no, then rethink business model, as you'll end up hitting a brink wall at some point. But hope that helps, it's just my experience from running fashion brands

If you convince your customers that your clothes are worth the price they'll buy. If you can get them to fall in love with your clothes before they hear the price they'll buy. I sell cars at a dealership and you gotta make the price make sense for the car. I have sold a car 8 grand above what its worth because i made it makes sense.

Nothing is really worth much of anything until the customer believes it..... That is where marketing comes in whether by endorsements, product image campaigns etc... It's all just aimed to show and display use and value of a product. THEY HAVE TO BELIEVE IT.

The outer portion is so much more important than the inner. More people are successful externally than they are intelligent internally. Sales is all about personality and confidence. This guy obviously has both, the sales force is filled with outwardly or externally successful people..but many know exactly what needs to be done but just doesn’t have the ability to make that transfer to the external and can’t execute. I’d rather hire salesmen who know nothing but will be confident enough to sell 10 cents for a dollar than the ones who know everything there is to know but couldn’t sell a dollar for 50 cents.

From a sales track record point of view I wouldn’t qualify Jordan as a salesman because he had to lie to his customers to make a sale. In my opinion this is why salesman get a bad rap because of people like him. I could sell anything if you were to lie to you customers like he did. No thanks. I like being able to sleep at night knowing I did the right thing.
