Normally speaking, I pick a few songs I like and throw it into a playlist. For monuments on the other hand, their last two albums have been complete bangers with ZERO bad songs. Every riff is catchy as shit.

I totally get what Mr. Browne is laying down about alternate picking. It always felt "thin" to me compared with straight downpicking. That's where the power is. Glad to have found this today as I was not familiar with Mr. Browne's playing. As a player for nearly 30 years I'm glad to be able to add him to the list of players that remind me how bad I suck! MK

It's almost like he does a wrist-twist for quick powerful down-strokes instead of a regular down-stroke, and also, pushing the pick with his thumb and not pulling it through with his fingers. Very circular. Impressed AF!

I have the rotating right hand thing because my friend taught me how to slap a bass before I starting learning guitar and it just carried over to turning my wrist to push the pick through the string, it's great for attack. John is just so so so much better than me though.
