The conversation between Musk and Trump was revolutionary - it told you everything you need to know about the key issues. Trump’s perspective on the assassination attempt was perfect - he praised everyone and blamed no one. Trump’s response to Musk’s offer was also well played - it would not have been a good look if Trump responded like a lap dog.

A 'reporter' from The Washington Compost asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre : ”Elon Musk is slated to interview Donald Trump tonight on X…I think that misinformation on Twitter is not just a campaign issue, it's an America issue. What role does the White House or the president have? Any sort of stopping that, or stopping the spread of that or sort of intervening in that?” The Washington Compost’s new slogan: Democracy dies with misinformation!

It was a grueling 2 hour long, highly-repetitive dialogue between Musk and Trump. I felt honor bound to listen to every last minute - even after a 40 minute long delay in starting - because it was a novel test of a concept, and I wanted to see it first hand, warts and all. I agree it came across as wildly repetitive and a rehash of Trump's campaign speeches. But I took away one thing. There were two men - rich beyond dreams of most - who have and have had, wonderful, fairy-tale lives of luxury. Yet there they were, striving, with nothing to gain personally except maybe notoriety, although it's questionable whether that's a positive return on investment, to improve the condition of humankind. Trump is earnestly trying to improve the lot of the common man and right our ship of state, in the country of his birth that he loves. Musk is committed to furthering the ability of truth and free speech to push back against the swine attempting to steal the country blind, and against their lies, and to attempt to prolong the existence of mankind itself by making the human race interplanetary. Big visions, big men, big leadership; huge personal sacrifices, risks to their lives and comfort, and all on display by two men trying to get a message out and help. Not politicians - statesmen. In the richest sense of the word. I consider it to have been a watershed moment and observation of what man can do when he summons his better angels to a cause - even when forced to slog through the muck and mire of a swamp full of parasites to do it.

I disagree with your "all data is false" statement. As an engineer and a scientist I collected and reported data as best I could. I have a good background in statistics , Risk analysis and such things as carbon footprint analysis. It was and is a problem of bias in data collection ( bad in cases such as temperature islands) or trend analysis such as choosing a low start point and a high end point on something as cyclic as climate change. It is along the line that numbers don't lie but liars use numbers. I agree, however, that most of the data and analysis used by politicians and bureaucracies is manipulated or, all to frequently , made up.

Regarding China's chip making tech. TSMC is probably completely infiltrated and China almost assuredly knows everything it needs to know to make chips with TSMC equipment. The hard part is getting that 500M dollar equipment, which is in a few places in Taiwan and Japan. Also, in Europe and coming online soon here in the USA. This equipment makes the very expensive stuff. FPGAs that go for $50k each. However, if you just want to crank out NVIDIA chips, that actually isn't as technical. China could very well take over that industry soon like they did with Solid State Drive chips, which we call Flash Memory. You can ask Intel what happens if you guess wrong about what China can do. They spent 2Billion on a fab in Colorado Springs thinking they would corner the market on Flash Memory chips and then closed it 2 years later when China and Japan came on line.

Option A) Media’s version. Trump developed a lisp overnight! Sure, no one heard a lisp the prior thousand times he spoke, but now he has a lisp! Option B) Trump called into Spaces and more notably, on Speakerphone, resulting in a slightly muffled sound during the live conversation that had technical difficulties at the start as well. Scott Adam’s thinks it could be either thing. Scott’s really not as good as he used to be, sadly.

the threats about stopping NATA funding seem a little hollow. The US pays a larger amount per capita as payment to maintain its western economic hegemony. Stop funding NATA and EU might just stop buying Apple phones and buy Huawei instead; just as good

I live in Asia. Why domInfind it difficult to find any actual recording of the Trump Musk conversation? Incn dind lots of commentary on it but cannot find it to hear it myself. I don’t need others to tell me how or what to think . Anyway Musk isn’t running for office. What do I care what he thinks although he is a real African American.

Yes. Trump’s mouth sounded “juicy” when speaking, like he was drinking a lot of water or something. I suspect Diet Coke is the culprit. I think Musk has good mics, and in the quiet studio the mic picked up on it. Usually Trump is in a noisier interview environment, or projecting loudly in front of a noisy crowd with a mic set up to subdue the background noise. It wasn’t slurring. It was just “wet” sounding. Scott can go back just 8-10 months, and listen to his own podcast, and hear the difference in Scott’s voice now, as opposed to that goofy setup he had with multiple mics stuck to his t-shirt back then. It’s a world of difference. Trump was talking into some kind of ASMR pro level mic.

I thought he was just talking into his phone on speaker mode? Edit: confirmed. There's a short video on twitter that one of Trump's team took while he was talking..he's just got his phone on speaker. Of course he sounds better in that quick video. So something is going on w/ Twitter's compression for sure.

@@Davalexon Oh! Good catch. I’d only heard the audio, so I thought they were in one room, but that Trump’s mic was just jazzed up a little too much. Well, shit, no kidding: Being done over a phone can make audio sound odd any number of ways. That does explain a lot. Thanks for the additional details.

@@Davalexon Yeah that short video makes it evident. He sounds completely normal in the video, word for word, compared to the exact same segment as it was broadcast on X. I mean, try severery slurring your S:es like that in any situation in life and expect to be taken seriously. Not gonna happen.

It seems to be a compression issue as the Trump-Musk talk sounded much better on the Hindustan Times KZbin channel. The nitpicking on this issue ends when Trump speaks again which will be soon no doubt.

The conclusion that Scott reached from the twin study is incorrect. It does show inclusively that environment will change a person’s mind. It does not say what it is in the environment. The controlled factor with the genetics because they were twins the uncontrolled factor which is variable is the environment, that environment can include her exclude a person zone agency and what they learn or read on their own despite their inclinations Scott is over, concluding on the results
