As an Iranian I can give some insight to her content. She was indeed popular but nobody considered her an "artist", "model" or "bodybuilder", she was just a very big meme. Her videos were kind of like the vegan teacher. I also doubt that she made much of an income from KZbin as it's filtered in Iran so most of her views were from Instagram.

@@datbang5072 her tone and messages were usually so serious, I doubt that she was aware of or cared for her meme status (despite there being little to no supportive comments on her posts). She did occasionally try to make “satire” videos but they were usually very dry and if I remember correctly she added a laugh track onto them so you could kinda tell when she wasn’t serious and when she was. I think she 100% believed herself to be all the things in her bio (model, artist, etc.)

Since there are some horrible cases in Iran (which happened inside Iranian soil) for serial killers, I did a search in your channel and found this video! I have a funny story about her action. The very day she committed the crime I've been with a friend and we've been talking about first generation of Iranian memes and I brought her name as one of the most bizarre ones. At the same time, my friend opened his twitter and told me a shooting happened at KZbin's headquarters. I told him it may have something to do with recent youtube changes and someone got really angry about it. A few hours later, my friend messaged me and the message was "Remember our discussion in Cafe? look who the shooter was". It was shocking for me, because I never could have thought about a person like Nasim, who basically brought fun to the Persian internet, could be capable of doing something like this...

Crazy.... I'm Iranian (or Persian as my dad has always said). Whenever I'd see my country mentioned in anything...I use to cringe going down into the comments, begrudgingly expecting the worst of the internet's ignorance and hate. Perhaps it was due to misrepresentation of the culture and country through stereotypes...Maybe it was just hate.... but I'd always try to shine a little light to combat the negativity I'd often see about my ethnicity...Growing up in a rural place in the USA use to make me feel ashamed of my heritage, so I don't want anyone else that may be in my shoes to feel that pain If I can help it at all. To my surprise.... I saw nothing but wholesome and supportive comments on this video regarding Iranian culture and the good representation it had in this video. It literally moved me to tears. To see this kind of growth from living through 9/11 as a teen to seeing this now 20 years later is ...tremendous and hard to put into words.... I wrote much more than I intended..... All I wanted to say is Thank You.

I mean, we also need to stop saying things like "they were mentally unwell" after someone goes on a shooting rampage, bc all that does is serve to make ACTUAL mentally unwell people look like they are boiled down to violent terrorists in the waiting, when the reality is that the vast majority of people with true mental illnesses don't seek out to harm other people intentionally like this absolute shitbag human being did. Occam's Razor says that the simplest explanation is often the correct one, and I think here it is fairly obvious that we saw someone radicalizing themselves through overconsumption of wingnut groups (PETA, for example, even if their intentions are pure, are a bunch of fucking whackos) and media, so she's, in effect, pushing herself more and more towards full radicalization through increasing anger and hostility. Long story short - some people are just assholes, and it is my heartfelt belief that Nasim was just simply an asshole that couldn't emotionally handle the fact that, right or wrong, other people live their lives in a way with which she does not agree. I feel the same way about a LOT of people but for fuck's sake I'm not going to kill them over it, especially innocent people who have nothing to do with my paranoid and unjustified anger.

When Nasim's father filed the missing person report he had actually warned police about her anger and hatred of KZbin and that she might be planning on taking action. The officers who found her sleeping in her car the morning of the shooting were not aware of the parents concern though, which is why they let her go. Had they known that her father had warned police about her possibility taking action against KZbin her car would've been searched and she could have been stopped.

It's not illegal to have a gun in the trunk of your car even in California. And some concern by a family member is not grounds to detain you. Unless she did something during the encounter to justify her detaining, they still would have had to let her go.
@myfairytalelife3
@myfairytalelife3 Жыл бұрын
@@gunengineering1338 You're right, police need reasonable suspicion and probable cause to detain and search someone, but you have to remember that her parents told police about all the anger towards KZbin, and the threats she had made all over social media. They had enough to detain her and search her car, especially since her parents had filed a report stating how they couldn't find or contact her, she was going through some mental issues, and had made threats making her not only a threat to herself but to others too. Besides, she was found sleeping in her car in a random Walmart parking lot near the KZbin headquarters early in the morning, after her parents had warned police. That was enough to detain and search her, or even have her evaluated by psychiatric and behavioural health professionals to determine her state of mind at the time. If only that information would have been passed down to all the officers then this could have been prevented which was all I was saying in my original comment.

@@victrola2007 Yeah, normally police are supposed to alert all officers in the area of potential threats when someone has called to report the threat since the goal is to prevent civilians from being put in danger. To be honest, every soldier who goes to a foreign country and kills lives to save lives is just as sick. The media also programmed him with the ideology of "serving his country" or "helping" someone. In truth, he is a legally hired killer ending lives in the interest and judgment of a wealthy and powerful warmonger. And he only realizes that he is also destroying himself when it is too late. Just to be clear, I don't think that that's an inherent trait that comes with animal activism or veganism, but rather that those disturbed people join the cause through an unhealthy projection on animals stemming from their inability to relate to other people. Animals don't get criminal, build weapons to kill others and disrespect the balance of nature. Animals don't slave others and also don't slave other antisocial parasites like cats hostage... This all is "human". There are a million arguments why the average antisocial parasite human shouldn't live - yes, there is also "an extremely little" part of humankind that's smart and social, but that's not the average human and these people are victims of humanity their whole life, too. That's why an ant is a million times better than an average human and only smart, wise and/or social people (one leads to the other) are on the same eye-level as other animals. It's the same as to say "All cats are cute", no they aren't - 90% are fugly as hell from the inside and outside like other abominations and they kill and destroy everything that's in their way, they even attack the ones who feed and love them like human antisocials. Vegan diets are not good for people physically or mentally. They don't sleep well, their always in pain, and they just start to mentally fall apart. My daughter is a CNA, and vegans go to nursing homes earlier than most. They age quicker, and they develop dementia and alzheimer's earlier. And they almost always have bowel incontinence because of their diet and need diapers. But the worst is their mental capacity. It just goes downhill so rapidly. But vegans will never admit to this. I moved out the next day and was crashing in a hotel, and am now in a small flat.. Through all of that, every mealtime I'd watch you talk about these cases, which has in a way, been very grounding and comforting! She definitely had severe mental health issues- maybe schizophrenia or psychosis especially with her paranoia and extremely bizarre content. I feel very sad for her parents- you can see how much they loved her. Unfortunately some mental health disorders are extremely challenging to treat especially as the patient doesn't want help or isn't committed to getting better. I was good friends with somebody with severe mental issues- it was so sad to see their decline. I tried to help my friend and encouraged her to seek help but she wouldn't. She was in her own world and not in touch with reality. She was paranoid and cut me and some of her other family members off for no reason. I don't know how she is now but unfortunately I don't think she's any better. Whilst most people with severe mental health issues are not a danger to themselves and others, unfortunately some of the sufferers never get the help they need and if they do, they don't always get better. In extreme and rare cases it leads to tragedies like this. I'm glad that no people were killed in Nissim's attack.
