With age and time in the job comes experience, auto box’s ABS and stability control on a lot of the new trucks you should see less of this type of accident. Given the cameras and high policing in just about any built up area you come to, speed shouldn’t ever be an issue in these small towns. And yes i know Coffs isn’t that small anymore but you get the point. And just saying there are a lot harder loads to be carting than express freight…………….. i do feel for the driver as we all hate to stuff up.

It looked like it just slid out from underneath him without any warning whatsoever. It happened, so quick, it seemed. Scary. He was just a passenger. By today's standards, it's insane that the national hwy still runs through that tight, whindy, hilly coastal town. Traffic must be an absolute nightmare for everyone, including pedestrians. I bet the completion of this bypass can't come quick enough for these heavy vehicle operators.

My experience in Coffs Harbour was at that set of lights half way through town , in my T2670 Inter probably mid 1980's the dam water pump sh*t itself while I was at the lights.

The Pacific and the Hume Highways (Motorways) are a dream compared to when us drivers used to have one lane each way back in the day. Take it easy out there so everyone can go home. 👍

Theres lot of roads around the country like that. Some even worse. Its youre responsibility as a professional driver to stay aware of your driving environment. Hate to see lot of these drivers get on black ice down 10% grads with 45t

I was a passenger in a car and stopped at traffic lights in Coffs and a semi couldnt stop in time and hit the back of the car, yup it happens and he wasnt speeding or anything, just couldnt stop in time.
