Trump's behavior during the interviews (that he agreed to) with Stephanopolous is that of a man who surrounds himself with 'yes' people whenever possible. He cannot cope with criticism, even when based on provable facts, so he (in the case of the car) literally walks away and in the other interviews just sits in his closed loop of "no it didn't, that's not true" denial.
