My wife wanted to get married three weeks after we met. I thought that was too quick, so I put her off for a while before I asked her. "A while" turned into three years. By that time, we were living 1000 miles apart (due to my job) and were talking on the phone every Saturday while I did my laundry. So, I called her, as usual, on that Saturday from the laundromat pay phone (still had them in those days) and asked her, "Do you remember, three years ago, you said you wanted to get married?" She said, "Yes." "Do you still want to?" "I guess so." To which I said, "All right then." It took her a minute to understand that I had just proposed. "What? So, are we engaged?" I said 'Yes" and 'Is that all right' and she said 'Yes!" That was 37 years, two kids, and five grandchildren ago.

I remember when they did the switched interviews awhile back, John Oliver was asking "first date" questions.
