Graham Norton is the epitome of the talk show host. He makes everybody feel so at ease and knows how to get his guests to open up. As people below have said - he comes from Cork, which is part of the republic of Ireland, which is not Northern Ireland and not part of the UK. (You can immediately tell from his accent that he's from the South, and not the North.) He may well be a UK citizen, but that doesn't make him a 'native' - unless we're supposed to start calling Arnold Schwarzenegger a 'native American.'

The first time was right after the 2008 election where the 3 other parties were thinking of creating a coalition to take out the conservatives before the conservatives even got a chance to form a 2nd minority government. And it was a good thing the coalition idea was a disaster the opposition parties regretted it and desperately looked for a way out. The prorogue was over Christmas and it gave time for cooler heads to prevail.

As a Graham fan and an Irish gal myself, where Graham is from is complex. He was born in Dublin (Clondalkin, yes.) But he grew up in and is technically "from" Bandon in Cork. He spent 2 years in UCC, Cork before dropping out and moving to London where he has lived for the better part of 4 decades. He considers himself to be British by all accounts. He even says in this video 01:59 "I'm from the U.K." As an Irish person, I do find it a little sad he doesn't really identify as Irish as much as being British but identity is complex. His mother is from Belfast, Northern Ireland (Which is the U.K.) and his father's ancestors came from Yorkshire in the U.K too.
