I feel like she’s one of the most underrated actresses of her generation. First saw her in Millers Crossing with the Cohen Brothers. She scared the hell out of me in The Mist. Hilarious in the new Fletch movie. Love her.

I hate her character in The Mist with a furiously burning passion, and I mean that as the highest compliment to her performance. Absolutely incredible villain. It rivals that of Joffrey Baratheon in terms of hiw I just despise their characters. Her performance - along with that absolute gut punch of an ending - made the movie for me.

They clearly had to do this quick because the Stephanopoulos interview ran long. But dang if Marcia Gay Harden (with an "e" LOL) didn't make the most of it. Three stories, seven minutes, bang bang bang. And that clip was great. I do want to see her show now.

Her confession of prudery and delight at directing profits from lube to charity reminds me of a gala dinner at an academic conference on feminism and sex work... where the table decorations were bouquets of toys from Good Vibrations. The HILARITY between the daunted professors and the porn stars explaining what on earth that thing IS..... FOR>>>>???

I love that she's been doing these comedic tv shows! She really brings the quality to some mindless tv which is what a person needs after a stressful week where you just want to turn off for a bit but don't want to come out the other end completely braindead from watching poor writing and bad acting. She's a truly incredible dramatic actress so the first time I saw her in a comedy - "Trophy Wife" - I was skeptical about her casting but she has such a great natural comic timing made even more hilarious bc she just delivers the lines so precisely. I loved that show "Trophy Wife". Such a fantastic cast. Such a shame that it was canceled and now this show is also canceled. So few shows that deliver this kind of feel good quality tv where the entire cast can actually act and it seems like they are all having fun doing it. (Her kid's on So Help Me esp. the daughter and the other office investigator dude, Lyle-hilarious). I hope it gets picked up by another network. I literally will watch anything Marcia Gay Harden is in.
