I always wondered why some people think Japan's toilets are only squat style with "just a hole in the ground." Japan and Korea have some of the most futuristic toilets I've ever seen, and in public restrooms at that! They sing to you and blow your booty dry

I hadn't heard that, although I have heard of India and China that have areas that do. Japanese toilets are known for cleanliness and bidet features including drying.

The squat style toilets are old and are definitely still around in locations like temples and so on. That said, they also have more modern toilets available as well but the queues for those tend to take longer XD

Those squat-style you'll find typically only in super old buildings. Apart form that, yeah... They are pretty incredible lol. They do sing, they do have deadly accurate bidets, and they do blow dry. Don't forget the wallmounted control panels and heated seats. Also, on some, instead of the tank filling from the inside, the water flows through what ends up being a tiny sink on the top top of the tank (where the drain leads into the top tank).

The amusement of seeing Stephen get annoyed at them is dwarfed by the irritation of having to sit through them.
