The fact there aren't 5 parts to look forward to watching is honestly a bit disappointing. I love the comedic banter between these two. Jon is just as funny when the comedy isn't at all political. Also....is it just me, or has Jon _really_ come into his element at _this_ point in his life? It's interesting...he's almost more confident, funny, at ease, and honestly attractive as a human being now than ever before. Gives me a wee bit of hope tbh. I'm 38 and would be lying if I said I wasn't kinda sorta dreading getting older. People like Jon make it look good though....on all levels. So glad he's got a show again. @@avedic ok - it's ok to be a fan, and to love his work. However, this is cringe to the +++. I am guessing (just me) that Jon's on a retainer to fill gaps, and they pull him in at the last minute when someone can't make it. There's NOTHING in this that is funny... smart... or even insightful. TBH I think the whole questionnaire is filler... but having someone on that just feels like a Friday afternoon coffee-date doesn't make for the best tv. If you love him, that's fine... BUT THIS IS NOT COMEDY. Edit - and I intentionally meant Friday, as this feels like a pre-recorded piece that could have been made 2 years ago.

No - that's a "I don't give a shit" answer.... fine, he may well believe that. In which case, I agree... when he dies, very little will change. Does that feel right? I am fully on board people who believe there is nothing after (I really am not religious) - however this is the sort of teenage answer that is actually painfully ignorant. What is not almost certainly true but is certain are the words of God and His Son Jesus Christ. John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ (or Emmanuel, 'God with us') shed His perfect blood on the cross to offer forgiveness of sins to whosoever believes and give the gift of everlasting life. Call to Him in prayer, and He will forgive you and give you of His eternal Spirit so that you may never see death. Read your Bible and obey it and you will grow in the wisdom and life of the Lord. God bless you all in Jesus name.

I still maintain that 4'33" by John Cage is the only correct answer to the question what song to listen to for the rest of your life.

And was a helluva lot funnier than this tired piece of crap tv. I get that live shows sometimes have to fill... but hell, this actually made me cringe.

@@carriemartinezmurphy6348 so what WAS funny or clever about this segment... I get there is a lot of Jon love out there... but this wasn't something you should be fighting to the last person over. It was pointless filler... and poorly ad-libbed filler at that. I really enjoy Colbert, but this insistence that we should care about Jon regardless of what banal randomness comes out his mouth is just self-indulgence. One I don't have to like. I don't care if you do... but don't get all self-righteous if i don't think it's good tv
