The one with George Clooney and Jeb Bush and Mavis Staples. Tom Purcell who is also a writer, and Meredith Bennett were also credited as such. Ms. Bennett had been EP on the Colbert Report and did it for the first two episodes of the new show and one the following week. Tom Purcell is credited on about half of the episodes. Starting in 2016, Chris Licht has been sharing that title most regularly. I was going to just share an IMDB link, but apparently the LSSC channel has links in comments turned off and my comment was insta-deleted. The job of the Executive Producer is to rake in the cash and make sure everybody gets paid, but they are first at the trough. They are at the top of the food chain for hiring and production. They arrange strategic partnerships with other productions. They will occasionally be the ones negotiating with movie studio promotion departments to get the top cast on their show first. You see the host bring out a product in a sponsored spot, that was the Executive Producer's office that negotiated that.

@dreamcatcher54taurus663 жыл бұрын
I really don’t like when people hate on cats. There’s enough people who will abuse them without public figures labeling them in such a negative way. I had outdoor cats as a child. Some more bigger hunters than others. Some of them just lazed around outside? As an adult, I’ve always kept my cats indoors for their safety and for the critters outside. Most places, I’ve had a screened in lanai so they can get a taste of the outdoors without being outside. I have a glass front door and I feed squirrels and birds on my front porch. The cats have a fabulous time watching them, but there’s no harm to anyone. Sometimes the squirrels even taunt them by coming right up to the door. I don’t think these cats would know what to do if they were outside and they seem perfectly content. My cats overall have been such loving animals.

I think he is making the point that people don't view fish as animals and treat them worse. Fishing for example, no one raises an eye brow, but if you would use a fish rod to catch birds or other land animals, then people would react.

I am so happy just to find out that Jon Stewart has a new show. It sounds like it's going to work for him not to demanding I will probably watch every episode

A deep dive on one topic? Sounds suspiciously like John Oliver's territory...

While Jon Batiste obviously always looks sharp AF, that blue suit is especially dapper. That there is a man who knows how to rock a suit like no other! 😁💜 Jon's outfits and amazing sense of style are genuinely a highlight of every episode, for me -- not even kidding 😁

I've been saying for years that cats ARE indeed the most dangerous animal... They hunt to kill, and play with their prey before killing it, but they don't even have to hunt, because we feed them everyday. They do it for fun. Scary, right?

Sounds like those bipedal animals, Maybe they are the most dangerous animals? Just a thought.

"What's the one thing you own that you really should throw out?" - Stephen "Everything I wear." - Jon His shirt is literally stained on his right shoulder so ... yea I guess he just needs a new wardrobe lol kind of the perfect answer. He does sorta look like a hobo getting his life together (no disrespect)

This "killer cat" response is bringing up a hazy memory - I'm absolutely positive years and years ago Jon had a bit on the Daily Show where an "expert" was brought in to help bring peace between cats and birds... or something to that effect. I can't remember much of the details now, but I remember my sides hurt from laughing. MAN! I still miss watching him do the Daily.

What is insane, I've been watching The Daily show from '99. I was 8. It is like a whole different world. Government had a surplus. We were not at war. it's surreal. The military industrial complex's war on terror has ruined this country.....
