Firstly, this was my first Broadway play I watched in NYC like ever and this was just a few nights ago and I was blown away. It's a modern take on Romeo and Juliet but infused with club beats and pop music like this incredible song sung by the incredible Rachel Zegler. I almost wish the entire play was a musical because hearing her sing this song within the context of the play was beautiful. Rachel and Kit Connor are extraordinary in their roles including the rest of this cast. If you ever visit NYC, I highly recommend seeing this. It's incredible.

@stephaniel285028 күн бұрын
Not gonna lie, it makes me really wish they'd held off a few more years to have made West Side Story, simply because Rachel and Kit have fantastic chemistry and Kit would have made SUCH a wonderful Tony! Ansel wasn't horrible or anything, but he was just quite bland in a cast that was otherwise pretty perfect, so seeing the little clips of Rachel and Kit in R+J that have been floating around, I'm like... what could have been if Kit had been old enough at the time to play Tony or if they had waited till now!

How sweet You're the man of the house to me I watch you From the window and I see The good in you The good in me That's who you are And what I need It's what I need Do you have doubts? I curse your name It brought me pain And now Without you I don't know how to be Hurts so bad it brings me to my knees I still believe [Verse 1] You're breaking my heart in the best of ways How many versions of myself will it take? How many men I've seen with a similar face I always look for you in so many ways [Verse 2] The first one to go is the worst to take With all of my love comes all of the pain You come and you go and I stay the same But if you came back now I'd take your namе [Bridge] How does it feel to be God? How does it feel to bе God? I'm in the palm of your hand I'm in the palm of your hand
