"That Sounds So Good" is a great book with modern takes on classics, as well as new recipes with innovative flavor profiles. I love that the food is so contemporary yet it feels anchored somewhere so familiar at the same time. I've already made this salad a few times. It's so interesting to see how you make it, because, although I follow the recipe, it seems like I do it differently! I'm going to follow your technique and see what the my critics, AKA my family, think. If you publish more cookbook recommendations, may I humbly recommend the book "Sababa" by Adeena Sussman? (Note that I don't know her at all, but this cookbook is also a favorite of mine for its fresh yet grounded take on Israel food.)

Coming back to let you know how much I love this recipe!!! The caesar ish dressing is a revelation - I have to restrain myself from eating it by the spoonful. So stinking good, easy to make any night of the week, and actually pretty healthy! All to say, thank you, Carla!!

Okay I watch all of your videos but more for something lovely and soothing to watch and the end of the day than for actual recipes to try. When I saw this recipe though, it looked so doable that I finally went out and bought your cookbook (and all the ingredients for this recipe). I am back to announce that this is THE BEST thing to have ever come out of my kitchen. I cannot wait to try out more recipes. Thank you, Carla for this treat of a cookbook and for the joy that you bring. P.S. The hand-written description of your book at my bookstore said opened with, “I don’t mean to be dramatic or anything but this cookbook literally changed my life”, so clearly I’m not alone.

I really like that the arugula was on top of the salad, instead of as a base bed. Sometimes it can get a bit squished, and this reminds me more of a well topped sandwich ( sans bread obvi).

This recipe makes me unable to wait for warmer weather. Just imagine, gathering with friends or fam for a small cozy evening, sparkling beverages, steak arugala parm salad, good vibes: Sounds like a rootin tootin good time if you ask me! Classy and refined, yet casual and accessible. Carla's cooking is next level♥!

Because recipe fractions are the only fractions I can math in my head, I did the math in my head, it’s one tablespoon plus a one teaspoon per person for half a cup of mayonnaise divided by six. What can I say? I’m a professional chef who looks for inspiration every chance I get, and Carla inspires me.

I love that Carla is out of Botched Appetit. So tired of watching people make food with ingredients no one can find. (Vinegar powder?) Now that she is free to teach us how she cooks for her family we can all easily tackle these dishes. Did I mention the weekly list of alternatives so you can customize it to your own liking. Thanks Carla for giving us food we can actually make. #NotAllHeroesWearCapes

Hello, may we please not have disgusting mouth/chewing noises? Misophonia is a thing, and the rest of Carla's videos are so perfectly built. It's baffling why those many excruciating seconds of revolting sound are deliberately cut in before she reacts to the taste.
