If you like a small but heavy duty knife you cant go wrong with the Tuff Lite. I have had one for a couple years now and love it. Great review as always.

Love my little tuff lite for work, I just acid and stone washed the blade, lock and clip last eve, turned out great !

I've had two locks fail in my life. One was a liner lock and it essentially became a fixed blade. The other was a lock back and folded forward. I was very fortunate that I didn't get injured. "Anytime you apply heat to something, it changes the molecular structure." Well that explains all of us that have done firefighting.

I have a few Cold Steel knives. I love the AK47, it is my beater knife and it has been through hell. I do understand the "one handed closing" issue but you can always just close it on your thigh right near your pocket and pop it back in its place. (This one doesn't have it, but I also love the wave function on a few of the CS)

I watch your videos so I don't have to buy the boxes to see what kind of new and groovy shit is in them and what kind of crap I have no use for. That way I know what to buy with what little money I have. I'd love to be surprised every month like they are designed to do, but I just can't afford it. Thanks to you and others like you I don't have to. Thanks, Doc! Great video! The only box I could ever afford is the SHTF and BudK/CHKadell's/Kennesaw Cutlery/SHTF have nothing I want. It's all cheap crap. Cheap is good, but crap is not. Already got all the good stuff they have to offer.

Can I just get your honest opinion since I’m just a rookie/newbie. I won’t pin you down to just one but from best to least what 3 survival subscription boxes do you think are the best from month to month. I would want one with more survival type items and a decent knife at the end?

This is a complex question. As far as the blade quality, he said it's good. Even had the test running in the bottom right corner. Blade styles play a role in what cutting tasks they excel in. This one would be a great knife for more of a utility aspect. If you could use a utility knife, this will work. Any blade style can be adequate for most jobs, but they all have their individual strengths.

You can close Cold Steels one handed. You can close any lock back with one hand if you really want to.

I like the Kershaw... a little. Don't like the blade style of the other two, even though that one has a roach clip on it. I hate that kind of flipper.
