Half the season in ‘09 Cutler was making crucial bonehead throws against the Packers on opening week on SNF and against the 49ers on TNF one week. Orton might be a game manager, but that’s what we needed this season our defense was still pretty solid and we had a good ground game.

Watching this era of Bears football is just depressing. The amount of talent we had in this time was insane. We had great defenders at every level. We had a stud RB and TE. We had the GOAT KR in hester, we had an all time great kicker. We had an all time great Center. And then later we added great receivers in Marshall and Jeffery. But somehow none of it amounted to jack.

Peterson had such a fumble problem this year. Vikings blowing it in overtime is a littleforshadowing for what is to come later in the season

Imagine if Cutler had a defense and O-line. The NFL could’ve been so different.

Hmm yes. Then he’d have a defense and an O-line and still throw metric tons of interceptions. Sounds about right.

@@innatebubble121 wouldn't know. the years they had a good defense they were winning games with him as qb with no offensive line.

@@sopa71479 exactly. He can at least move the ball. Trubisky doesn't actually throw many interceptions, but I'd still take cutty over him cuz he can hit a man downfield and can read basic blitzes

A classic game that the bears ended up winning but the Vikings could’ve easily won it
