If you want a very long and very thorough fic about broppy's entire relationship, before and after they got together, Ive currently been reading Picturebook romance by Dreamsinger. I havent even dived much into other fics on ao3 yet b/c i'm continuously just reading that one rn ahdahf Warning: It does have smut but i'm like 30 chapters in and havent hit anything super explicit yet so you could always stop be4 that. And the author does switch to 1st person only for Branch's POV (which was almost a deal breaker for me, i hate 1st person😭 ) but they explain why and its not bad one you get used to it.

I watch the first movie way back in 2016 with my mum and I cried so much I don't know what scene did it to me likely at the end, but I think the reason why was that year was hell for me so to see a movie full of hope and joy just was something I really needed at the time. But I had no idea a fandom would spawn this massive from it so at some point I need to dive into it and see all the cool creative stuff that's been made and such.

As someone who's mainly an AO3 person, I do recommend "The Eldest and the Youngest." Very good fanfic, and yeah there is an "I just lost a limb' trauma mini-arc. There's also "You're all I ever needed", which is where everyone thinks their brothers are dead until suddenly they get a clue that others are alive and find each other, lots of angst and hope, they're almost to finally reuniting with Branch. Also, Branch is Autistic compilations live rent-free in my head.

I mean, I always found the first two movies really fascinating in concept, I loved the idea of a society where one person convinced EVERYONE that you can only experience emotion via this very specific thing that I'm in control of, literally brainwashing an entire species into thinking they NEED her to exist in the full scope of...Well, being a fully rounded feeling _being,_ and the second movie fascinated me with it's commentary on how not every music type is for everyone, but it's important to have them all, because music is human expression and all humans are different. I also kinda just revolve my life around music and it's part of the core of my being at this point so naturally I got super invested in these stories, whoops

i havent spent a day in the fandom but i have been Troll’s NUMBER ONE DEFENDER since the second one came out. the writers mustve gotten more liberties bc the execs knew a sequel would print money anyways. it was super funny and it made me stop to appreciate the scrapbook world building. when i went back to trolls one i realized it honestly wasnt all that bad either despite what every youtube critic had trained the majority of ppl to believe. sure it had a handful of obligatory poop jokes etc (likely forced in by execs who think its the only way to make kids like something) but the rest was clearly made with love and had lots of fun snarky humor & chemistry. i think if the majority of ppl who hate it rewatched it with that same attitude that made them laugh when the “singing killed my grandma” clip circulated instead of trying to take the movie (and themselves) so seriously, they would have a good time watching. by the time the previews for the third movie started showing i was SO excited and it had that same love and quality as trolls 2. super glad to see it get a little mainstream love even if im inclined to be a little snobby and gatekeep for being one of the earlier ppl to notice that this franchise is so much fun lol!!
