Sewing Hemlines of Woven Stretch Fabric. The general rule when hemming woven stretch fabric is to use a slipstitch with one little added stitch in the form of a loop. This loop of thread allows for added movement and prevents strain and the breaking of thread.

If I could 'thumbs up' this video 10x9 times I would! This makes so much sense; do you think it would work for seams and darts too? Or would it be best to stick to zigzag?

If the fabric has already been set, then your only real option is to do as suggested, and burn to stop any fraying.

I've never heard of this technique before. You sew 1 back-stitch both before/after the loop? Won't the loop come out when the hem stretches?

If you can get a stretch lining, then yes, that would be ideal.

You'd hem before adding the accordion pleats.

What if the fabric is already pre pleated they sell the fabric lock that in our garment district, I burn the edges I wanted to know was there an Easyer way
