Some Truman trivia: In an alternate universe, Truman State would be called Vincent Price University. The Price family trust was going to donate a few million dollars to make it happen, not sure if it wasn’t enough or if his name wasn’t sufficiently prestigious. I graduated the year the name was changed and have two diplomas with the different names.

I was a foreign student in my college and there is something about the foreigners all hanging out together. It was like having a little surrogate family of people all trying to help each other cope with the ridiculousness of the country we were in. Even if you spoke tbe local language as a native speaker it applied.

Its also that college was like the least of our troubles and we were all trying to survive, but other people didnt get that experience much less were able to help, cause theres a lot of things you dont think about if you're just from the country (which is normal). so you gotta talk to those who get it.

And that’s honestly what I like about most guys; they can be like eh, I don’t really like my roommate but we’re still going to live together next year, what am I gonna do, find a new roommate? I have a theory on the back of my head that this is something related to you guys using the imperial system instead of the metric. It's like this fixation with 6 feet that would make no sense in Brazil for example. Yeah, I can see someone lying in here about their height, or being concerned about it, but usually a short guy dates short girls. As long as the guy is about the same height or taller most people will be fine. Nobody cares about how many centimeters a person have here the way americans do. There's such a small difference between 174cm and 182cm. But with the imperial system it seems like someone just could get there, wherever there is. And I wrote too much about this. But I had to throw this out. Thanks.

As a woman that’s 6ft, in my experience it’s the guys that have an issue with dating a woman that’s taller than them. But I’ve been married a while, so maybe that aspect of dating has been changing. I hope it has because it’s ridiculous to care so much whether the man or the woman is taller.
