My wife LOVES Willa Fitzgerald from the body of her work, from Scream TV series onward. Myself, I only know her from Reacher S1. I cannot believe how amazing she was in that road, and cannot wait to see here in ANYTHING other than Horror (no thank you). This was, as usual, and EXCELLENT interview. Perri, your attitude and presentation of the questions...gives the actors such a palette to answer the questions. We love your intereviews. Thank you, and please continue this series. It's the best film I've seen all year. She definitely deserves an Oscar nod. It's a fearless, complex performance. I hope that the prejudice against anything connected to the horror genre doesn't raise its ugly head once again! I've never gotten over the Toni Nicollette snub. Go Willa!

That was an outstanding performance by Willa in Strange Darling. The way she can play a victim but then switches to a villian. She was able to portray both sides of the character, a character that is damaged, manipulative, desperate, unhinged just trying to survive. It was a thrilling. The best acting performerance by far this year! Oscar nomination worthy.

The final question about Strange Darling is all I was dying to have. Great interview. Incredible film & I'm glad you're pushing it! She was electrifying in Dare Me, too, & I hope there's a resurgence of film noir & she's at the head of it. Make her the Mia Goth of neo-noir.

I saw this film today on dvd(g ot from the library) after Perri talked about it in her top 10 films. I had never heard of it until she mentioned it and she hyped it so much I had to check it out. Thanks for the rec Perri! It was interesting how the movie was layed out(chapters in different orders) so I have to give props for that originality but I just thought I would have enjoyed it more if it was told linearly. Still very enjoyable, Willa gave truly a great performance. I am always in awe of actors who can be so believable in really hard emotional roles/scenes. Another performance that comes to mind is Sosie Bacon in Smile. Girl was stressed and crying most of the film and pulled it off so amazingly.

That was, without a doubt, the greatest dying scene I've ever seen, and ive seen thousands. It was like icing on the cake after going thru all of the experiences of that movie. Brilliant acting as well as the director's choice of jt to extend that scene for so long. If i had a vote you'd get the oscar right now!

It truly is quite extraordinary, isn't it? It's one of the few where it felt as much real as it was cinematic. IF she receives a well-deserved Oscar nod, the memory of that one unforgettable scene may put her over to a win. There's precedent for that. We'll see!

From what I read about MTV Scream, the showrunners wanted to do a New Nightmare for Season 3 and turn it into real life. For some reason. MTV cancelled it because they felt it'd betray the fans, as it would considering the build up to this world then suddenly change it and their just actors. As for Season 3, Giorgia Whigham stole the show despite the change.

Serious point: since this film will most likely be in most people's top films list of the year, why wouldn't it be nominated for all major film awards? Willa Fitzgerald deserves an Oscar at least for her performance. It's just a phenomenal film brilliantly directed and acted. With a cracking use of editing and music as well.
