Speaking of comebacks, here’s some trivia. In 1984, Maryland was losing to Miami 31-0 in the 2nd half, but behind quarterback Frank Reich, had a comeback and won - the 31 point comeback being a record in the century-long history of college football. Fast forward, 1993. In the NFL, Buffalo was losing to Houston in the playoffs 35-3 in the 2nd half, and playing its backup QB. Buffalo rallied and won, for the greatest comeback in the 74-year history at the time of the NFL. That backup Buffalo quarterback was … Frank Reich.

Great game. I’m not a huge Colorado fan so this was a nice thing to see. Normally, I will always finish a game no matter the score or time, but this was a very late game, and when the Buffaloes were up 29 to nothing, I decided to go to bed. Woke up to quite the surprise. Learned my lesson.

Moving the ball down the field with short passes is the hallmark of the "West Coast Offense". Named after the style made famous by coach Bill Walsh and the San Francisco 49ers in the 1980s. Hence the West Coast moniker.

Listening to you talk about the 97 yard catch and run... I don't know about the past couple of years in particular, but while Tyreek was in KC, Mahomes kept throwing more touchdowns, but the distance that the ball was actually in the air kept getting shorter. A lot of his touchdowns were short passes that the receivers took to the house.

I dunno I think it was a combination of CU collapsing and Stanford never giving up (hats off to them).. I don't think Hunter was ready for that many snaps after injury, he looked TIRED, + CU had I don't know how many stupid too many men on the field/illegal formation defensive penalties, 5, 6? That would have ended Stanford drives

As a CU student I went to this game and this was painful. So many people left early thinking it’d be a blowout I stayed till the end at 12:30am even though I had work at 8am 4:37 the fans hated the refs every moment after this My personal highlight is making the jumbotron 15:57 this hit was terrifying

I watched the first half of the game on a pirate rebroadcast on KZbin. It got yanked during halftime. The game had started late and I was tired, so I went to bed, confident that the Buffs would win. I checked the score when I woke up and went WTF to myself. 😂

The Cardinal is the cardinal pine tree, which were prevalent in Palo Alto back in the day. The tree is in the logo on their helmet.

This was a great comeback. This was not a great game though. It was a bad team (Stanford) against a mediocre team (Colorado), neither of them playing amazing, but the comeback made it an interesting game.

I'm not sure if you lads are familiar with Stanford but they are a very high achieving academic institution on par with Ivy League schools like Harvard and Yale so their sports teams typically aren't so great especially their football team. This win was not only shocking because it was a massive comeback, but it was also shocking because of the team that pulled it off!

I’m typically a Stanford hater because they are essentially a mid tier group of five caliber conference team, leaching off of power five conference money and status. That being said, I was one of the biggest Stanford fans on the planet last weekend! We owe a lot to Stanford for saving us from yet another week of Deion Sanders mania!
