Hey there I totally forgot to mention the cost of this dupe. So here’s the breakdown not including things like glue, tape and paintbrushes. Cabinet- free DIY paint pint , white and clear wax full size -$81 Drywall compound-$4 (smaller size is enough) Paper clay-$6 ( Amazon best price) Amazing casting resin-$17 Primer-$5 Door push latches- $6 Plastic scraper-$1 ( dollar store) Plastic paint spatulas-$1(dollar store) Legs-$26 5 moulds- $84( ranging between $10-$19) Total cost = $231 That’s a huge difference compared to the original at $1998!!! You could do it even more budget friendly depending on what moulds you buy or already have and the kind of paint since brands vary in price.

Thanks for giving us a breakdown of the cost to create your masterpiece. You didn't add in your time to make it happen... How much would you be charging for it? It certainly is worth as much as it costs on Anthropology since this is truly one of a kind.

I'm an experienced sculptor, who regularly works with air dry clay, polymer clay, different types of putties and resin. I am absolutely astounded that you attacked that fox the way you did, and I find it outrageously, amazingly, ridiculously fantastic that you did so well with it. I don't think I would've been able to get the fox in there so gracefully and with so many details, and it's literally what I specialize in (my specialities are animals, flowers, etc.) Fantastic job - you should be very, very, very happy with what you accomplished here!!! 💙

I think this is definitely a win! My first thought was, “Who wakes up & thinks they can sculpt a wolf?” Then I say the outline of the wolf coming through and thought, “Oh yeah, her!” You did an amazing job. I’m just in awe. My heart broke a bit for you when the cracks showed up the next day but what a brilliant solution! You’re very resourceful & talented.

Bad first... Just kidding! There's nothing bad about this video or the content. You've done an amazing job. The video editing was done seamlessly. The music was well placed and not distracting. The cabinet is beautiful! Seeing how much work you put into it, I can see why the original piece is nearly $2,000. Those molds you used are not cheap. You have an amazing talent and I look forward to seeing more projects.

Girl! Shut up! This was amazing!!! Spackle or joint compound is tricky, next time build little at a time, allowing a fair amount of dry time to avoid cracking. What a great finished product! Be very proud! I’m a huge fan🤩🔥👍🏻

My mantra has always been "How hard can it be?"...resulting in some wins and some losses. But you can't win if you don't play! Excellent effort! When I saw you picking up the joint compound, my heart sank because I knew it was going to crack big time, but I'm super impressed with how you plowed ahead anyway and stabilized it. I'm just praying the whole think doesn't literally just fall off the cabinet! Next time, try some "Apoxie Sculpt". I've done moulds with it and it works really really well. It also sticks to pretty much anything without the need for glue and it doesn't shrink or crack. However, I've never tried to put it on as thickly as that fox....It would also use a lot of the Apoxie which is a lot pricier than joint compound. Perhaps building up the basic shape first with carved styrofoam glued to the cabinet would work. Then you could cover it with the Apoxie and add in the finer details.

I absolutely love how relentless you were. With this project and learning and actually showing the mistakes that you made and correcting them. I am relentless as well. I don't give up and however long. It takes me to finish something. I keep going and keep going until I'm happy with it. I think that you did a brilliant job amazing. I think you did a very good job! It is such a fanciful design like being in a fairytale. Everyone won't have one for sure. Especially the one with the $2,000.00 price tag. Just a guess, but I'll bet the original artist used sculpting clay. Joint compound obviously works and is probably much more readily available. Great job! 🙂👍

Brilliant! The only thing that screamed at me for attention was that exposed strip of particle board on the underside. Maybe edge banding? Paint? Will def check out the other contestants. I am so impressed. I’ve worked with drywall ‘mud’ for over 40 years and learned from you! I would suggest things,though. 1) use more/thinner layers. Mud DOES shrink! 2) Add the fibreglass additive that is for concrete. It’s cheap and will stabilise your work. If the fibreglass prevents you from making deep carvings, try pressing instead of cutting. There is a faster drying mud available. Love your cabinet!👍🏻

Gorgeous! And admiring your courage for attempting such a potentially daunting challenge! You are truly skilled! My only criticism would be that the finished piece is top heavy. I think it might be even more dynamic on a taller base. Your work so transformed the cabinet that the original proportions seem off and the piece looks a bit squat. A taller base could balance the reincarnated cabinet as well as bring your amazing work closer to eye level. Cheers!
