I had played UG1, UG2, MW05, MW12 and Rivals. As I played undercover, I noticed alot of stuff. 1. Bloom. in MW, it can go from bright to dark (rain) and doesn't make the sun a deadly lazer. 2. Detail. The game lacks detail that the MW has (even UG 1 and 2). 3. Bugs. I don't see any bugs on my playthrough yet...or have but not affecting my gameplay. Although it has some points. 1. Cars. The cars are alot like the other nfs that makes me tempted to save cash for a specific car because I don't want to instantly waste it. 2. Damage. This is what I was hoping for in carbon, the damage system. I kinda like the aspect of fix your car or it's bye bye for you (almost all rally games, and some racing games). And this is the reason why I loved rivals, and hot pursuit. 3. Cutscenes. I like them cheesy cutscenes. Cringeworthy, but it's like a novelty in the NFS franchise (since all are now 3d modeled characters doing the scences rather than the actual cross saying "EVERYONE" on NFSMW). 4. Map. It's HUGE, just like MW (05 and 12), UG2, hot pursuit and rivals that makes driving more enjoyful. 5. Pursuit breakers and the speedbreaker. Correct me on this one, but this is the only game with the pursuit breakers and speedbreakers still implemented. I think HP 2010 onwards removed that function. But correct me (I believe that UC and ProStreet are the only ones with the speedbreaker and UC has the last pursuit breaker function) I am on neutral since I liked the game but I also disliked the game because of these and other more aspects. Still, I would store this game along with the others on a very big spaced hard drive so I can show it to my future children and grandchildren since games like these could be gone after alot of years pass... But I would like a remade Undercover with alot of things fixed (including the live action cutscene). I wish the developers had been given alot of time to make it a much more better game.

This thing I think needs a remastered version of graphic, plot and gameplay. However one most important question always haunts me: YOU ARE AN UNDERCOVER COP in this game, but you are needed to hurt your colleagues deliberately to finish your mission... It doesn't make sense... Your target should have been minimizing the casualty of police and damage of public properties. The whole game in a nutshell: It says you were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them!

I do enjoy Undercover a lot, but there were some things I didn’t like that prevent me from calling it perfect, and here some stuff that I didn’t like about the game 1. There was no customizable soundtrack playlist. I want to have Pendulum play more often, although I like all the music altogether but Pendulum stands out more to me. 2. The last mission was a big spoiler for me. Instead of naming it “Betrayed” they should’ve put “???” 3. More Body Kits was needed and the 240SX Widebody should’ve been swapped for a different Widebody 4. The Police Chatter voice actors sound pretty lazy to say their quotes 5. I noticed that 1 song is missing from the Undercover Soundtrack on KZbin, and I assume it’s not included in the Soundtrack list in the End Credits of the game. Song is: Jennifer Bolton - The Calling. Overall, It’s a good game. I do like the music they use for the Garage, especially “Fight Sounds” by Circlesquare, “To Heal” by Underworld, and “Indigo Children” by Puscifer. The Manufacturer Decals are nice too, like the red stripe on every car, the iconic BMW M3 GTR Vinyl from NFS MW 2005, and all the Vinyls for the McLaren F1 (Widebody for it is awesome too). I wish they would’ve had the Complete Edition fix some of the problems

This game was a massive part of my childhood, I used to love this game because of the warm colours, the amazing soundtrack and high driving sensitivity. It felt really good driving around the whole map especially in the faster cars and I understand that there are same types of races almost everywhere (which after a while might feel extremely repetitive and boring) but after completing the story it feels super worth it, working through the grind. Also I can't really confirm the part where you said that consoles have a really hard time with the frame rates as I never had a home console but my dad's old work PC never used to show any signs of frame drop back then, it's probably due to game optimization being better for PC. Even still, to this day I still hold NFS Undercover in a higher regard than games like NFS Carbon and in some cases even NFS Most Wanted.

2015's police and story was horrible. The police because, I assume they had lead in their trunks and couldn't get faster than 60 mph and the story because it reeked of too much trying to be cool and hip. I couldn't stand it, not that it is the actor's fault, but dang... I bet it didn't help they had to do all the talking, and the character didn't say anything, which usually works for games with few cut-scenes or GTA III. Payback was basically a story with three teenagers trying to make a Fast and Furious movie.

I think Carbon was the most divisive at the time because of the game itself and not other factors like I think happened with Undercover. I rented the 360 version and didn’t notice a poor frame rate. Multi platform devs liked to shove all the cpu processing onto the PS3s single PPE core which while running at 3.2GHz is in order execution only and deeply pipelined like a P4 only more handicapped.

Undercover on PS3 wasn't that bad. It helped me introduce myself to new music. I wasn't into Nine Inch Nails or Puscifer but you better believe I am now. It took years but I went back to the soundtrack and remembered it all. I was broke and could only afford a game every 6 months or so. I picked this up with the (for some reason) Spain exclusive steelbook case. I still have it too. I tried going back to it but my save must've gotten corrupted. It says 100% but when I launch the game it asks me to start a new game. Fuck that. I hated getting the Platinum trophy. Those last trophies were hard to get. Online (which was pretty much dead at the time) and some trophy I think that I needed to drive a lot? Or do many races? I forget.

Just finished it once again a few days ago, and... yeah. Can't say I didn't have some fun here and there, but can't say I didn't have more frustration. The wonky physics that make the cars feel weightless (unlike M.W or Carbon where you actually feel the impact), the emptiness of the open world, the undercooked, quite awful story, the downright infuriating cop chases once you get to the Porsche and SUV feds and the fact that it sadly follows the Carbon thingy of "once you did this race, you get less money" which kills the need to farm for more cars so you can at least try out more of 'em (yes, I liked doing that in Most Wanted) honestly made the experience more stressful than fun. Is it horrible ? No. Did it have the potential to be a really awesome game if E.A weren't the wankmongers we still hate nowadays ? Oh... absolutely. I can see what they were going for. For a game done in 1 year, it's kinda impressive. But if the game was given probably 2 more years to cook in the oven... it could've been something really friggin' great. What would my score for it be ? Hmm... 5 or 6. Again, it's not horrible. Just mediocre. Another example of E.A putting out ridiculous time restraints on a studio before letting that studio just die.

I actually love ProStreet and it's stylized logos and events. Makes it feel larger than life but official. Focused but out of control. Undercover is just bland as hell man. It's just a teal and orange movie poster. Feels soulless. Campy acting only does so much honestly.
