But being a dad, and very protective of my "little girl" I get where the dad is coming from, to a point. 6 weeks is just too short a time to really get to know someone, I think that's where he's coming from. So many people wear "masks" pretending to be something that they're not. You see it all the time on the bachelor and the bachelorette. So very deceptive. I learned the hard way that you only really get to know someone when you live with them, or you get in a fight/argument with them. That's when the mask comes off and you see who they really are.
