I’ve been doing this 26 years. We always just use dawn dish soap to remove pocks. Squirt One complete circle around the outer edge of the bucket and one circle about half way between the center and the outside perimeter of the bucket. Our buckets contain 4.5 gallons. We’re in the United States. Also notice your mud had a yellow tint. What’s up with that? We tint our mud for touch up and light check. But otherwise we can tell the difference between 1st coat and second coat because we use a 10” on 1st coat and 12” on 2nd. R

Why do you put laundry soap in the mud? I heard once that it allows for longer working time? Or just easier to work with?

I think lime is used for it to last longer. The laundry soap is to stop pocking

@@Maxkil actually there is no german method. There are nearly no german people anymore in the drywall buissnes. 9.5 from 10 are eastern europeans, poles, romanian, albanian, russian and so on and the Quality is depending on crew to crew very different and often pure shit. Q4 or Qualitätsstufe 4 for you quality level 4 is that you give the whole sheet surface at least 1 up to 3 mm mud coat after mudding and taping the butt joints and sand it with 220 grid or even less corse . This is only nessesery if you want to paint directly on the surface. I was a sheet rocker in germany for about 10 years and i still work in construction buissnes and see this guys regulary and i can tell you, your work is compared to that what is here standart on an very high quality standart. Especially the boxes are not seen very often here in europe. The majority don't use them and fill with trowel and knife and with tape hanging from a rope. No boxes, pumps or tape bazookas or even leg extensions. All still hand work and ladder crap walking.

I’ve been doing Drywall and Paint 26 years. All I do is commercial work like hotels, assisted living , and multi family. As the General Superintendent of a large Drywall and finished company , I have to make sure all the different projects are hitting schedule and the quality control is constantly being observed. When I started the tapers use to use hawk and trowel or knife and pan. A few years into it the boxes begin to be the tools of choice for the tapers. The talent and technique changed. But the one constant was POCKS. POCKS can add up to a fuckload of Hours and kill the quality of the finish. I can’t m I WONT , turn a job over late and shitty looking. The one thing I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO DEPEND ON , NO MATTER THE TAPERS, IS DAWN LIQUID DISH SOAP FOR POCKS. NO MATTER THE MUD OR THE MAN. Squirt 1 circle around the perimeter of the bucket and one circle half way between the center and perimeter of the bucket and mix. No pocks ever in 26 years guys.

I've been finishing drywall for 25 years and tried the no pock and couldn't see that it did anything. waste of time and money. IMHO Used boxes and angle heads for 15 years od so and didn't see it help there either. Use it if you like, I like to put the money in my pocket.

you can also make your own attachment.. I used the top of a 2L bottle of pop and molded it to fit over the end of my compound tube.. I flattend the cut end so it was narrow enough to fill my box and heated the cap end just enough so it pops over the end ball. works pretty bomb

c Only I’m guessing that gap is for deflection and the builder is going to use some sort of a clever slip trim.

c Only the gap isn’t really there for a reason per say but there is no point getting the gyprock sheets flush with the ceiling if 90mm of both the wall and ceiling are going to be covered the whole way round with cornice.

Руслан 55а В ведрах это шпаклёвка . При шпаклевки боксами нужно замешивать жидкую шпаклёвку но при высыхание иногда усаживается и иногда пузыриться.поэтому они добавляют эту жидкость она предотвращает осадку и пузырьки в шпаклевке. 7 лет в Канаде сам только увидел эту бутылку ( может новый бренд)

Wallboard. First time using it in the video it was good but the pump filters the mud so you don't get much rubbish when you run the box so we only use it for 2nd coat not final coat.
