Next challenge, the elusive Alabama Tarpon ~ I was floatin around in my micro skiff Tuesday a few hundred yards outside west pass and had a school of them surface beside me heading west, maybe 20 fish in the 4ft and longer range. pretty dang epic. The caption on this video had me thinkin you hooked up with one. That Cobia was equally awesome tho🍻

Pier fishing is pretty much all I know. As I've said countless times, my dad taught me how to fish on a pier & we'd go out til cancer got him (Anglins Pier, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.) I've caught everything worth cathing. *Except a cobia.* Caught em off boats but never a pier. I can understand why you were so freaked. Congrats. I am so happy for you. Now go hammer one of those big-ass, cement head jacks, son! Or two or three! 😁👍

Must use a needle nose gt ice cream plug for those Jack's.. And when u hook them on the pier use a light drag so they run out and if u keep the drag like that they will go in on direction then u lock up and give them no string💪👍
