I would like to see a real test of this flathead. The video is just a teaser. You should demonstrate how strong the S7 steel is, and it's heat treatment. Use it hard, pry on some doors, break some glass, stab and pry on some bone. Show any damage. Lots of people criticize the price without seeing one in person. Even Dan Winkler said it takes as much grinding as a $400 knife. The machining of the grip, the coating, and the (what seems like 3D printed) sheath are adding cost over a typical screwdriver.

Excellent. Would want an option for a thicker handle, maybe some scales one could purchase to expand the shape and make it thicker without changing the design, but I would still buy one when I can swing it. I am not allowed to carry a fixed blade even with a CCW in Merryland (MD).

Good enough for James Reece, good enough for me.

I bought a discount version of this from snap on for $1.50 at the swap meet. Added some paracord, rails and a few pouches and it beats the shit out of this so-called tier 1 screwdriver.

I get that some don't see the value. That's fine. You can carry a $10 screwdriver. Or a whole set. But have you ever bent a screwdriver tip opening a can of paint? I have. This is not that screwdriver. Do you need one? If you don't think so, then no. But if you're comparing it to something, and haven't actually put one in your hands, then you're operating under assumptions, which is a two-dollar word for ignorance. That's OK, everyone can have an opinion. It's made the way it is for a reason, and the production process drives the cost. Worth it to some, not to others. Life goes on.

Please remove references to using this for defensive purposes. It's undercutting my plausible deniability

Torx is by far the superior screw head and by extension the superior screw driver. The only professionals that use flats in a regular basis are electricians (the least tactical of the trades). For the same price as this product I could equip myself with the full range from T1 to T20 allowing me to screw anything in my way.

Flat heads are what I need to tighten and loosen the base between my optic and the pic rail all the time and then use as a prybar. … but I get your point cause the “combat flathead” I own is the original winkler knives one with the slot at the head to take any kind of bit and it only cost me 75 dollars when he was selling it. If I had to pay 250 I would have passed. Still useful on the range to me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nothing like overpaying for a piece of sheet metal worth about 5 dollars.

Or, you could buy a screw diver at Walmart or anywhere else for a dollar or two and have better weapon instead of wasting $325.00 on this thing.
