replaysportsairsoft, in all honesty im in the marine corps and we have dump pouches too. we get issued them and we don't just chuck our empty magazines around. yes we may drop them on the ground while reloading but that because taking out the enemy is more Important than trying to retain a magazine but once we are out of harms way we do pick those magazines back up. we usually get issued 6 magazines and you have to turn them back in so if you lose one you gotta try to 'acquire' one or pay them.

No the Army use UCP! The ACU is the uniform type and UCP the pattern! Cause you can get an ACU with Multicam pattern!

Well, that is the point of the dump pouch. So you can quickly dump your mag without much hassle. Also you don't want the enemy to retrieve them.

Yes that maybe true, but if you drop the mag into your hand, then place it on dump pouch on the left side of your body(I'm right handed) Then on the way back up grab your mag out of your vest. It is one quick motion, and can be performed easily if practiced.

Yeah that sounds pretty cool! It's only a second or 2 slower, but I know how you need a split second to make a decision. But overall you fight the way you train, so if you practice making a quick mag dump into the pouch eventually it will be as fast as possible. I've seen a few people do some funky mag changes in my day!

My AFJROTC unit is selling its Woodland BDUs $5 for the coat, $5 for the pants, and $20 dollars for boots (we aren't required to wear these specific boots with the BDU because they odd sizes), and I bought two coats and pants. My instructor said that a lot of people were buying a second coat without patches to use for airsoft and stuff. And the BDU's are being retired after this year, so people are buying them like crazy.

I just joined an unofficial airsoft team, and now the three who are basically the commanders decided that we will now have our own required uniform (most of us had woodland BDUs, but it wasn't required; there were guys showing up in RealTree and Helix jackets). I'm in the process of finding and ordering all this stuff, but the uniform is a MARPAT BDU, tan combat boots, and a Condor Modular Operator plate carrier (all pouches, holsters, etc., are tan but otherwise chosen by the wearer). Headgear, if worn must be a tan Lancer Tac FAST helmet, a tan ball cap with no logos, or a MARPAT boonie, which I prefer.

I have spent a ridiculous amount of time and money trying to perfect my loadout. I play almost exclusively in the woods so surprisingly what I run with most often is walmart camo and an LBX chest rig. Simple yet very effective. I do have $200-$300 sets of bdus and tons of other expensive gear but for most game days it doesn't make sense to wear a lot of the sh!+.

In my opinion, he is overloaded with gear. I just run with a pistol belt, a drop leg holster, pistol mag pouches, a Well G96, and an Elite force 1911 tac. Then I carry some bbs in a speed loader so i can reload, but that is it.

Black is useless. You'll stick out like a sore thumb anywhere. Cammies are used for the purpose of aiding in camouflaging the wearer. Hence the name. If you're on a budget go for milsurp OD's. I got a set of CF OD's for $45 at the time.

The reason ACU's are cheap, is because they don't work at all in the wild. That's why the military phased it out. You get an opposite effect, almost a highlighting that makes you MORE visible.

Here's the problem with cheap acu pants and jackets and other gear. It doesn't last. I'd go with buy once, cry once instead. Buying Crye, Blue Force Gear, SPOSN(SSO), Blackhawk! or LBT/LBX will work very good and will last for more than 10 years. Personally I use a Smersh, Gorka E (or SS Summer Sniper suit), Balaclava, Altyn (without visor indoors), Mechanix Framers, basic footwear and Desert Locusts with a LCT AS VAL and a Stark Arms G19 in outdoor and indoors CQB.

Idk, I'm really against gas powered weapons unless it's a pistol. Rifles seem better to be using with batteries since you fire it a lot it makes sense to have something you can recharge otherwise you'll be using a lot of gas. Snipers, at least the bolt action ones, seem like the type of thing where a spring would be practical. But hey, to each their own. The only reason I am okay with gas powered pistols is because it's the only propulsion method that works for them. Batteries are too big, and springs require manual cocking for each shot.

+wolfman2102 For the weapon it all depends on the field, for instance if your playing in doors you would probably want to go with a shorter rifle or if your playing a milsim operation where your gonna need to suppress the enemy an lmg would be a good choice. For the apparel its best to blend in with your environment if your playing outdoors but if your playing in a cqb arena it really doesn't matter what you wear because chances of blending in with concrete and wood are pretty slim.

Where do you guys think dump pouches came from and if you figure that out why do you think they got the name "dump pouches" You would never drop your mags in combat because those are the only one's you have for that deployment unless you put in papers for a new one and deal with the punishment of losing them. If you are in a close quarters experience most of the time you will trained enough to reload under pressure. Even then, you would pick them up after your firefight.

I use a sniper rifle and was was thinking of getting a tri-shot shotgun as a sidearm for mainly when they are close enough that it would be a bad idea to try and shoot then with the sniper. Is that a good idea?

get something small and compact but also has the ability to shoot full auto. Something like an MP7 or a full auto handgun would complement a sniper beautifully. A shotgun and a sniper may be to much to handle while on the move, but hey that's just my opinion.

I have all of my gear except for glasses, me and my friends do a lot of airsofting with just our group in the woods and I use safety glasses but we want to start going to some indoor arenas and all of the ones around me require closed or sealed safety goggles and I can't find any that fit over glasses. Multi Terrain Pattern. Its the camouflage used by the British military, and is a cheap alternative to Multicam. One could easily find MTP shirt, pants, and helmet cover for at or under 50 dollars.
