Great Video. I can see the work you put in. I did a video of the shootdown of Iran Air 655 and I had to play the mission like 7 times to get even close to the correct footage, and I still had to edit. So I can have some idea how long it takes to do one of these and make it look even halfway acceptable. And you do a very good job. If you ever need a second human pilot for any of these let me know. On a side note, someone asked about Israeli aircraft from the war of attrition. You're right that there aren't many assets available, however there is a very good IAF skin for the Mirage 2000 which is passable as a Mirage III. Sadly the F-4 Phantom in DCS is terrible looking, or I'd be having more fun with that as an AI jet. Anyway, hats off to the work you put it on this.
@showtime1123 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I'll try to check out your video later. As for the repetition, I sometimes do over 20 takes to get anything close to the desired outcome. I'm actually considering doing videos with other humans for the more complicated stuff so we might try something one day. Regarding the Mirage 2000 with Israeli skin, I used that initially but then the VSN Mirage III mod appeared. Neither has the right cockpit anyway. Plus, Mirage 2000 module has a very serious flaw if you are a video creator. Replay track never, ever works on that module. F-4 is a very old model in DCS but I'm kinda hoping that ED will announce it as the next module in the end of the year video. Warbirds and helos are fine but I really love jets.

Visualizing a proper AAA in DCS is quite hard. When you increase the number of flak, it starts to affect FPS. But generally, I'd say that AAA is more about saturating the sky. Of course, the gunners did often aim at particular aircraft but I think a lot had to do with luck.

And they died for nothing, because a general from WWII decided to fight it like it was western Europe. Tanks in a jungle? Are you serious? The only people who did damage beyond their own casualties were the Special Forces guys who fought the enemy on their own terms. Big battallions don't work in a jungle. Neither do tanks.
