Because a fast weapon in the off hand hits faster, so its the same chance to get combat potency, and wielding a slow weapon in the main hand often has more dmg than a dagger, so you do more dmg with abilities

Preach, adrenaline rush and shadow blades are both on a three minute CD so if you line them up at the beginning, they always line up.

Oh and one thing you might want to add about Killing Spree: Never do it during Adrenaline Rush, but rather when your energy is low. You can't spend energy while doing KS, so if you cap out on it, all that extra energy is wasted.

I was surprised by the lack of discussion of Bandit's Guile. In Cataclysm, timing cooldowns with Moderate and Deep Insight was important for optimizing DPS. I would have liked to know if this is still the case in MoP.

Preach, you don't need to go with Elusiveness, probably ever, because it is additional to what Feint already does: Reduce all AoE damage taken by 50%. Elusiveness simply makes it 30% reduction on single target abilities. I don't think there will be any situation where a rogue needs to soak a singletarget nuke from a boss.

nice guide and i like the fact u r goblin lol i am goblin rogue as well and everybody ask me " why don't u play undead or belf or whatever why u play this "but idc cuz i rly enjoy it..priest use to be my main but since cata rogue become my fav ..at the mom im playing at the PTR and im useing my combat for pvp sometimes cuz i do more pve there.. seems like ppl remember me cuz when they see me around run as fast as they can bcuz i like to use my killing spree and 95% of them cant get alway alive

With the new patch they are reducing the damage done by blade flurry to only 30% original damage done.

So you're saying that even if the chance is higher with a slower offhand, it doesn't matter because the dagger will attack fast enough to make up for the lower chance to proc? Makes sense, thanks!

ambush gives you 2CP's when you use it to open up making you use less energy to get your first 5 CP ability

Assassination is more realistic for raid's..... for a couple reasons....#1, so many of the raid bosses in MOP have melee dps getting taken off the boss, unlike cata with hit it and quit it bosses like in DS. #2, killing spree blows big chode in raids and is a good way to get yourself and your raid killed. #3, don't often see raids continuously wipeing on mobs that your cleave damage will help you with, single target dps is super important in MOP such as the Garalon/Elegon dps race.

Why would i not put my mace in the offhand? Combat potency has a proportionally higher chance to proc with a slower offhand weapon.

Hey preacher!! when i hit 90 with my rogue e never managed to get any good weapons, but when The headless horseman came i managed to get 2x Horseman's sinister slicers, should i be using both or try getting an offhand dagger??

khul00 Before, Blade Flurry was a straight up cleave. Now, the cleave only does 40% damage to other enemies.
