Combating Cancer in Cuba

In 1961, amid turmoil and the Cold War, the U-S government severed all diplomatic ties with Cuba - closing its borders for more than 50 years. But not all relationships dissolved. In the interest of saving lives, American researchers have been collaborating with Cuban researchers for years. Now, after an historic deal that restored full diplomatic relations between the U-S and Cuba, our cameras traveled that 90-mile divide to see how Cuba is working with America to help improve treatments for cancer.
