Lindsey should definitely do something like this more often. Especially on his solo albums, he has some wilder, darker tracks in that vein, but they're only one or two per album. I like his country-ish folky songs a lot, but a album with just songs like this and some darker songs like the acoustic big love would be so cool. Maybe in the future, when he has time to think about Fleetwood Mac firing him and how angry he is about that really. I can imagine he could come up with some weird heavy stuff because of that, at least, I hope so! For me, "Say You Will" is the grown up version of Tusk, like an older darker brother. Tusk was the kind of angry teenager album, and now that everyone in the band had seen some shit in their lives 20 years onwards it's clear that they tended to make a heavier album. This is grumpy Fleetwood Mac. The whole album deals with relationships and how they work or not work, just like Rumours did. But here, they're underlining the content with the music, whereas on Rumours they hid the darkness within pretty beautiful pop songs.
