In 1981, six years after joining Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks went solo for the first time with her debut album ‘Bella Donna’. A massive success, it sold more than five million copies in the U.S., topped the album charts and produced four hit singles, including her signature anthem, "Edge Of Seventeen." More platinum albums followed - ‘The Wild Heart’ (1983), ‘Rock A Little’ (1985), and ‘The Other Side Of The Mirror’ (1989).
In 2019, Stevie Nicks made history by becoming the first female artist inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - first as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998, and most recently in recognition of an extraordinary solo career that spans nearly 40 years.

I've been a huge Stevie Nicks fan since she first appeared as a member of Fleetwood Mac. When Stevie started her solo career I immediately went to the music store and picked up a copy of Bella Donna. Her albums, The Wild Heart and Rock a Little remain two of my favorite albums of all time. Stevie is not only one of the best female vocalists in Rock history, her song writing is masterful! This is one of the best live performances I've ever watched be it on KZbin or live. I've been to 6 of Stevie's concerts. We all know there are artists that are just not that great out of the studio, but that doesn't apply to Stevie Nicks, this woman Rocks in or out of the studio!

Very well said! I know what the heart of the song is about since I was named after it but her raw emotions about it really helped me when I miscarried my daughter. I listened to it constantly right after it happened and to this day I still tear up while singing along. That was 17 years ago.

This performance captures Lindsey Buckingham's ethereal studio production of Nick's gorgeous melody and lyrics, along with the haunting harmonies and arrangements by the rest of the band. I can almost hear Christine McVie in the background. Wonderful!

Growing up with Fleetwood Mac listening and grooving with the music they made, I often wondered how cool it would be to be married to Stevie Nicks. Being her husband, being called Mr. Nicks. All of that. Making dinner for the two of us near the end of a long day. Sipping wine with such a beautiful lady, my wife by the fireplace. During that young time in my life, I always treasured her music and poetry style of her lyrics. Many decades later, she's like classic vintage wine.The older she gets, the better the sound and taste of her music. And by the way, some year's later when I grew up and didn't dream of being Stevie Nicks husband anymore, I fell deeply in love with my wife and I'm very happily married to a woman that Stevie Nicks can't compete with - can't touch. But I still love Stevie for her contributions to very inspiring and wonderful music. The sounds of our generation and of generation's to come after we are all dead and gone. Thank God for album's, tapes, and CD's. They will always be on someone's shelf at home to play on their stereo until this planet is no more.
